I live in an urban area in the Southern Cone (Chile), and although people here are not very conservative, pedophilia is not accepted. In fact, there are a few TV shows like "To catch a predator", and those are quite popular. But people are very ignorant and closed-minded about this, they usually think that >18 y/o is pedophilia, and personally, I've never meet someone who actually know what "hebephilia" mean. In the other hand, in rural areas, couples with huge age differences (ten years or so) are quite common. But I guess that happens with every country people in the world.
