But as far as I know the gap hag hasn't interacted at all with the newcomers in any known touhou canon material(correct me if I'm wrong)

So all I can go on is speculation and imagination

It's not like you can't make logical speculations on how an encounter and further interactions would go based on what we already know about the characters from canon touhou material though.

We do not necessarily need to go into fanfiction tier autism to answer it.
