I've been posting here for over a year and while there have always been periods of high and low activity, this board is sadly a shadow of its former self.

But knowing what this board has been and could be again is the reason I refuse to let it die.

I wish 8archive was still online, it had most of the board history.

Well, I'm not so negative about it. Being here only for a month, but I've seen some interest. Yes, shitposting is here and it will be here (as for most boards - faggots are everywhere) but we always can ignore it and go on.

How do I get good at these games?

Patters are all fine, but the random bullets, fuck me. I have only made it past Patchy in EoSD, the library generally fucks me up and then Patchy murders me too.

It doesnt help how I cant always tell where my hitbox is in EoSD.

One day I will actually fight this maid.

You will get better the more you practice, it doesn't require much thought. Your brain will gradually reprogram parts of itself to be better at dodging danmaku. It just takes time.

I find that using too large a screen or sitting too close can make it difficult to track bullets near the edges.

Watch replays of better players to see how they handle the more difficult parts.

I also believe there is a patch to add a hitbox to EoSD.

The only thing that was better in Pre-December era is the novelty of the board itself, the fact that shitposting wasn't boring but actually fun and more creative compared to the shitposting we got after and relatively more activity.

Actual gameplay discussions and netplays threads failed just as they do now. Lore threads likewise gathered only little attention.

/2hu/ was always a shitposting board and this will never change

You mean that one thread that didn't even reach 200 posts and half of it was just about setting up your ports? Though that still was one of the better threads, every soku thread after didn't even reach 10 posts.

Regardless, in the history of /2hu/ there has been only one large netplay thread that was stickied with this exact Tenshi picture, which I would say was only about 160-180 posts or so.

Well even if it was indeed 200 posts as you say, it would be a redundant number, seeing how 1/3 of it was just asking about the possibility of letsplaying, then helping anons set up their ports. The anons only played for a week or two, after that it died like all other soku threads, the last 20 posts were mostly about asking for opponents and futilely posting ips in hopes of a match.

The thread was eventually unstickied and died in obscurity, no other netplay threads ever got larger than 10 post after

Not bad. Posted a lot. Then lurked a lot. Came back and someone used my name to start a Flandre board and I went back to lurking. Waiting for the CYOA to continue or I'll write it myself. I don't even know what infinity is. Haven't kept up. I'll probably stay here unless everyone goes.

In the first place, I don't even think its going to be successful, most boards and anons simply seem to thrash it along with Josh (who already proved he will censor things he doesn't like) and some are even considering moving back to halfchan instead.

I would be honestly surprised if Next manages to move at least half the userbase to its shit, especially when you consider the usual anon's autism of hating change.

I decided to take this chance to say goodbye to /2hu/, because seeing how inactive this board has been I doubt I will visit again in the next 4 days.

Even though I have always found /2hu/ as a touhou board to be lacking and even bad, the fact still remains, I have still spent more than a year here and contributed a lot to the board as I was trying to make it better(which was a futile effort that I continued for months in vain) I'm not trying to be self important here, I just simply felt obligated to say goodbye to the board that I had so much time and effort invested in.

Before any of you start thinking, I don't plan to go back to cuckchan, seeing that I don't know any better place if 8chan dies I will probably simply stop browsing imageboards all together, thus ceasing all my internet interactions with other people. (Unless somebody can recommend me another site I can honk on)

With this I say my goodbye, /2hu/. Thanks for all the honking, it was fun I guess.
