>It's not like we should leave at the first sign of trouble
This is no longer first, second or even third sign of trouble, those who have paid attention have seen dozens of red flags by now. I'm jumping this sinking ship and would prefer others to come with me.
>Further fragmentation of the community is not a good thing so I'm reluctant to leave unless absolutely necessary.
Fragmentation was going to happen regardless if NEXT succeeded or not, the only thing the success or failure influenced/influences was/is how much people will leave in addition to the base.
Migration is not the disease here, merely a symptom of the cancer known as NEXT
Pretty much anyone could have told you of this outcome the moment it was announced that NEXT would be forced on everyone.
Anons can be likened to a tree
Just like a tree, anons spread their roots all across the imageboard (soil)
Not having the slightest intention to move or leave.
They do not like it when the weather or the atmosphere around them changes
And they enjoy it even less when they are uprooted and forcibly placed into another soil
A ground that is not only worse than the previous one but also infested with bugs and parasites.
>so I'm reluctant to leave unless absolutely necessary.
Given that stance of yours, I must really wonder how did you ever leave 4chan.
>On another note, where the fuck has Jim been during all of this?
He doesn't care, he doesn't have expectations to begin with, either NEXT succeeds or 8chan dies.
Those are the two alternatives, and it is most likely the latter that is going to happen based on how things are going.
>Hotwheels puts a literal lolcow in charge
He was the only one who would accept the job and be part of the irc kabal at the same time.
There were actual /tech/ anons who offered their aid long ago, but they were rejected because they did not want to be part of the irc cancer.
Jim, Josh, Hotwheels, the one thing common with all of them is that none of them see any future in the site as the leaked irc logs show.

>I'm going to give Next a shot because I want this board and site to stay alive
This board doesn't need 8chan to stay alive though, just like how /pol/ has outlived 4chan, so can /2hu/ outlive 8chan.
Boards aren't tied to the site, but the people who care about it, as long as we keep the concept of /2hu/ alive, it can exist virtually anywhere.
As for the site, I do not believe it is worth saving, the administration has literally become cuckchan tier, or rather finally revealed themselves to be who they really are.
For all his words and initial stances, hotwheels turned out to be little better than j00tles.
Truly a disappointment
> It makes me wonder if they care about the site.
Did no one here really see those irc logs where they admit that there is no hope for the site and wish it would just die already?
I wish I would have saved them, they pretty much told how dire the situation is for 8chan.
>They should really try to guide Josh more and at least try to do some advocacy with the community.
Josh himself has stated that he no longer cares anymore.
He will simply finish NEXT in a haphazard and rushed way because he was simply paid for it, then get away with his shekels( the ones he got from generous donations of course) and never work on this site ever again.
That's what he said on /v/ yesterday.

>It's bizarre that they even let him attempt the first migration without any sort of load testing.
Josh stated he doesn't do testing, tough luck there
>Has anyone tried posting anti-semitic comment or other politically incorrect posts? How did it went? I personally dislikes censorship.
/pol/ is pretty much the most activate board on the site, you can post almost anything except CP and Doxing, some anons started leaving because of no doxing, to which the admins already backpedaled
and said that doxing will most likely be allowed, we shall see.
