I wish Zun would change the difficulty settings on his games. He should get rid of easy, normal and hard.

A better system would be as follows.

Lunatic 1: Regular lunatic

Lunatic 2: No continues

Lunatic 3: One life only

Lunatic 4: Lunatic 3 but bombs are turned off

Also, there should be an extra stage where you fight Orin and Clownpiece at the same time. Because fuck you, that's why.
