99% of Mid-tier touhou's wouldn't even be able to make a dent in Demonbane to begin with and they are weak enough to be beaten by Magius form alone.

Kurou blast range might not be that great in terms of size, but the destructive power itself is very immense and could obliterate Yukari with ease

Yukari also goes to a lot of trouble to make herself appear very fearsome, scary and powerful. Someone who is actually that powerful as she is trying to make herself be, wouldn't need such trickery. I think she is afraid of having people find out about her limitations.

Demonbane being itself might just be something that Yukari wouldn't be able to manipulate completely.
