There is only one reason to buy a console- games.
If there are titles on it you want to play, buy it.
And buy N3DS normally I would say to wait at least a year after console release but backwards capability is on Nintendo consoles meaning there are already good games on it.

Yep, happened to me. Tore it apart multiple times because the first time I needed a thing to push that damn metal thing to detach the upper screen, and the second time I broke the new upper screen's connector and had to get a new one. It has been one of my first succesful repairs, as it came back completely unharmed (aside from a few scratches).

I know they've been releasing the games digitally/Physical with the Vita and PS3, but what are the chances of them bringing this over?

I have a PS3/Vita myself, but I'm oddly growing fond of the chibi artstyle.

According to the Zero Escape wiki, Lord Gordain was acctually the first to enact Nonary Games, for the purpose of entertainment and other dark goals; yet there isn't a trace of this in the games. Is this JP-version exclusive information, stuff revealed by the creators, or what?

Playing Awakening multiple times I actually think Lucina does not have a flat personality at all. She only looks like she does compared to many of the one-note, overly quirky other Awakening characters because she actually has multiple aspects of her character. Another reason she might appear to have no personality is because she wanted it that way. She wants to be seen as being able to keep a straight face even in times of crisis so that she can be a leader for the other children. She keeps a lot of her emotions and burdens to herself because she has had to endure so much losing her parents (although every child in Awakening had that and they handled it in different ways so arguably it matters little). When initially arriving in the past from the future, she had a clear list of objectives in mind which were all meant to prevent the disasters of the future. She was gonna go in with a mask on as a hidden hero so that she wouldn't leave too much of an impact on the timeline. As time passed though, her plans seemed to fall apart as she saw certain events she was supposed to prevent happen in different ways. She also gets her identity revealed but this doesn't bother her because she gets to spend time with her father who was probably the last happy thing in her life before all the bad stuff happened. As the story goes on, even through her stoicism she starts getting worried that her actions have no effect on fate but her father Chrom, Basilio, and sometimes the player all try to convince her that she has no need to be so negative all the time. If you're her husband or her mother then when she tries to kill you in chapter 20-something, she is explicitly trying to keep a straight face while struggling with whether she should choose her emotions over what appears to be the only solution. I relate to her because I too often feel like fixing specific things from the past would be the only way to save myself but as Chrom tells us both, anything can change. I realize now that the future can be changed and it may seem difficult but things not going as planned do not indicate that it's the end. It's a cheesy lesson I know, but it's one I needed to learn at the time when I first played Awakening.

Story reasons aside, her outside personality is appealing to me because she acts very independent and not in a blatantly aggressive way like a tsundere or SJW character would be portrayed as. Probably my favorite game of the entire series so I felt it was necessary for me to pick up the limited edition.
I was lucky enough that I was able to grab one on the second shipment that they're sending out a month later, but Im gonna try and go up tomorrow and ask if they have any spares because of cancelled orders and such. Sucks that I didnt preorder it on the day. I still would of been happy with the MH4U edition though because silver > gold

Well, I just got my nN3DS XL today.

I am happy that I decided to get a microSDHC card (with microSD-to-SD adaptor) for my 3DS XL prior to trading it in; it made the system transfer MUCH LESS PAINFUL.

The >new< 3DS XL has everything that my original 3DS XL had, down to using the exact same Home Menu theme I'd selected.

So, yeah. Myth BUSTED: you can do a System Transfer and ALL of your data from your 3DS/3DS XL will be migrated to the >new< 3DS XL — as long as the region settings are identical on both systems, and as long as you haven't linked a Nintendo Network ID to the nN3DS.

It's a fun game, kind of like a less arcadey Virtual On. Long compaign, very decent challenge on the higher difficulties.

Don't get hyped for the flying sections. They're the weakest parts of the game and very short.
