Nintendo Badge Arcade has just been released in the US and soon on EU.
Let's have a thread to discuss badges, tricks, Nikki and Baito.
Some tips and tricks from the Japanese version:
Badges ALWAYS come back.
The only ones that can take a while are seasonal like valentine's, new year's, etc, and those still come back in events.
You can go back and forth between machines repeatedly, this creates a small amount of momentum on the machines, depending on the machine, this can get you a couple free badges or even clear a complete machine, it can take a while, sometimes up to 30 minutes, but it's a way to get free badges without even spending your free tries.
Other machines, like the Mario Kart 8 bike Peach one that has an item block falling at the start, can also be manipulated this way.
If you swap machines while it's falling, it can alter the trajectory netting you a free Peach badge, or you can also just swap after it bounces to get a free item box badge.
You can get absolutely everything for free with patience and skill, you'll only want to pay for the free theme events where you get a exclusive badge-matching theme with a 10 tries purchase.
This themes also always come back, and again, seasonal ones can take a while, but still return eventually.

Zero Escape: 999/Virtue's Last Reward
Obviously, MAJOR SPOILERSAccording to the Zero Escape wiki, Lord Gordain was acctually the first to enact Nonary Games, for the purpose of entertainment and other dark goals; yet there isn't a trace of this in the games. Is this JP-version exclusive information, stuff revealed by the creators, or what?

Playing Awakening multiple times I actually think Lucina does not have a flat personality at all. She only looks like she does compared to many of the one-note, overly quirky other Awakening characters because she actually has multiple aspects of her character. Another reason she might appear to have no personality is because she wanted it that way. She wants to be seen as being able to keep a straight face even in times of crisis so that she can be a leader for the other children. She keeps a lot of her emotions and burdens to herself because she has had to endure so much losing her parents (although every child in Awakening had that and they handled it in different ways so arguably it matters little). When initially arriving in the past from the future, she had a clear list of objectives in mind which were all meant to prevent the disasters of the future. She was gonna go in with a mask on as a hidden hero so that she wouldn't leave too much of an impact on the timeline. As time passed though, her plans seemed to fall apart as she saw certain events she was supposed to prevent happen in different ways. She also gets her identity revealed but this doesn't bother her because she gets to spend time with her father who was probably the last happy thing in her life before all the bad stuff happened. As the story goes on, even through her stoicism she starts getting worried that her actions have no effect on fate but her father Chrom, Basilio, and sometimes the player all try to convince her that she has no need to be so negative all the time. If you're her husband or her mother then when she tries to kill you in chapter 20-something, she is explicitly trying to keep a straight face while struggling with whether she should choose her emotions over what appears to be the only solution. I relate to her because I too often feel like fixing specific things from the past would be the only way to save myself but as Chrom tells us both, anything can change. I realize now that the future can be changed and it may seem difficult but things not going as planned do not indicate that it's the end. It's a cheesy lesson I know, but it's one I needed to learn at the time when I first played Awakening.
Story reasons aside, her outside personality is appealing to me because she acts very independent and not in a blatantly aggressive way like a tsundere or SJW character would be portrayed as. Underneath her lack of emotions she is also actually quite naive in a lot of non combat areas and this too appeals to me and what I look for in a partner. I want to be able to teach them things about the world while at the same time they aren't completely helpless like some moe characters tend to be. We both want to change our futures because of our broken pasts and this I feel is our biggest connection.

Is Kid Icarus worth the $25? It's on sale right now and it seems like the physical copy is relatively expensive no matter where you look. I've heard polarizing things about it but I'd like to know what you guys think nonetheless. Also, how's the multiplayer? Is it dead? And what's the deal with the stand?
Smush Bloopers 3DS/Wii U
There's only one reason why I won't be able to complete the 3DS version of smush bloopers:Unlock the "play smash for 50 hours" postcard…
I've totalled 11 hours so far. Having to do that another four times essentially, really rustles my fuckin jimmies. And playing any other mode doesn't count. Playing online doesn't count either. You have to do local co-op or play against the AI.
Anyhow… Samus is my 'main' even though I can't seem to win as her half the time. What's yours?

I was thinking of getting Alpha Sapphire, but I heard it was bland, so I'm currently on the fence about it.
About to buy a new 3ds this week or next. Really curious about the Etrian series, which should I start with for the best experience? Or should I buy Persona Q? I've beat P3 but haven't played P4 yet, will a lot be spoiled for me?

So, Nintendo Russia updates its prices starting this Friday, because ruble is shit. With only money for one, maybe two (but just barely) games, which ones should I buy? Already have MK7, SF4, Pokemon AS and Ace Attorney DD, I want something with replayability and/or good story. Also, I haven't played any Zelda games. What can you recommend?

I love SSB 4 for the 3ds but I feel that SSB 4 for the Wii U offers more a quite bit more.
I live in an apartment with two other guys who both have streetpass, yet a few weeks ago I suddenly stopped getting streetpass hits from their 3DS's.
Both 3DS's are turned on and in sleep mode. They're also both currently running the new Monster Hunter demo. Could that be the problem?
oy vey i seem to have a problem. my 3ds sometimes says it has an issue reading my sd card then quits out of the game. i even missed out on streetpasses once. what could be the problem and whats the best way to clean a sd card slot?

Smash 4 3DS general
Sup /3ds/?So I have both versions of Smash 4, but the Wii U is at my family's house (me and my bro went halves on it). That means I can't play the Wii U version for most of the year, AKA, the version 90% of people play.
I can play For Glory, but Final Destination only gets boring sometimes, and I like to talk to people I play with.

With ninjax exploit the 3DS homebrew side is growing rapidly.Sadly this will also bring hackers to online play if they ever manage to play rom copies (has did the wii) but disregarding that, what homebrew feature would you like to see on the 3ds?
