but srsly this is the last time. New Years happens to be tm so call it a new years resolution if you want. But its more because this can be a nice hard date in my mind with which it will be easy to always be reminded of my progress every time i do something like writing or checking the date.

It's a bit weird. I'm almost more excited about having it and the prospect of doing it in an hour than I'm excited about the idea of snorting heroin right now. And even that excitement about the prospect of doing it isn't that huge either…

I was contemplating doing it now and holy fuck am I surprised by how little I care about doing it. If it were thrown out I wouldn't really mind. Super weird, this has never happened before

I have an aching feeling that i might be deluded in my optimism that things will get better, but I know that as far as my present circumstances go, that I've fucked a lot of things up relative to what they would've been sans heroin. Naturally I still have the grades and CV/ECs to get into med school, so as long as I get my shit together by the time I matriculate somewhere, I hope things will be alright
