Does this surprise you? 4chan's mods/janitors haven't been people from the community for a long time. It's all people who consider themselves "professional" mods. Half of them have probably moderated for Reddit, Neofag, or if they haven't they plan to with 4chan experience.
Whereas here on 8chan you just have the board owner (person that made the board), and the small number of volunteers the owner specifically selects. And if they all turn to shit you just pick up and move to another board, which has happened with a few boards already.
Hotwheels and other global moderators only remove stuff that breaks global rules (CP).
