This thread is for discussion as well as GET-tactics and whatever else is necessary to get the ball rolling and get people educated. Edit this OP however you please.
Tips and tricks for GETing:
• Don't forget to post from your Phone/other devices if they are on other networks.
• Mention this site, but don't be retarded and actually type "8chan" or obvious affiliated words unaltered, they will likely get you an automatic ban and your post won't even get submitted, put the 8chan logo in your image instead.

(∞chan is spam filtered, 8chan.co is banfiltered, and other hidden filters are in place which may vary per board and change over time, always slightly obfuscate your mentions of 8chan to avoid any chance of hitting a filter)
• Be clever: (don't simply copy the following examples)
- Replace letters with their foreign counterparts ( http://www.lexilogos.com/keyboard/index.htm | http://www.starr.net/is/type/altnum.htm | http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faux_Cyrillic | http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_alphabet ):

- Use Combining Characters (Zalgo Text) to dodge the filter ( http://www.eeemo.net/ ), use weak settings so that your words aren't completely illegible.
You can combine this with the above suggestions to be extremely safe.

- You can just talk about 4chan:

• REDUCE THE FILESIZE OF YOUR IMAGE! You do not want to be stuck waiting for your image to upload in the last critical second:
- Open it up in an image editor and crop AND shrink that shit.
- Try converting your image to different file formats with lower quality settings. (eg. Go into GIMP, and save as .jpg with lower quality and higher smoothing settings)
- Big areas of flat colours compress better than complex patterned areas. See if you can simplify your image. If the background doesn't matter, smudge it and/or try to make it a single colour.

• Making a thread requires an image, if you don't want to post an image and if you want to post with the lowest latency possible then consider making your GET post in an existing thread.
[Warning, it can be incredibly difficult in the final seconds to get into an existing thread and post a GET attempt before the thread is pushed off the board by new threads. Make a new thread for your GET attempt if possible]
• Do not worry if you don't have a GETing script, most of us don't and they will be highly inaccurate in a GET of this magnitude, we are using our numbers and autism to carpetbomb this GET.
You can get a GET watcher script on https://get.4ch.net/
It will help you keep track of the post number in real time and is an invaluable asset. Be wary in the last crucial seconds, as the final post spikes may catch you off guard.
• https://archive.today and screenshot the GET post if you get or see the GET, it is very likely it will be deleted by mods or pushed off the board by new threads.
Archive.today tips:
4chan's new-thread links come in the format:
http://boards.4chan.org/theboard/thread/OPpostnumber, for something like the 300000000 GET on /v/, the link will be: http://boards.4chan.org/v/thread/300000000
Archive.today will only submit the link ONCE if you use the same link. It takes ~1 minute before it accepts a new archive for the submission of an already submitted link.
If someone attempts to archive.today the GET link before the GET, it will archive a 404 page and subsequent archives by other anons will be redirected to that submission, preventing anyone from archiving the real GET.
To work around this, add a '#' after the link, followed by any garbage you want, archive.today will treat it as a unique link and make a separate submission for it.
Prepare several of these links before hand, then, at the time of the GET, submit them one after another to carpet-archive the GET. Hopefully at least 1 archive will successfully archive the GET page after it's posted and before it's deleted.

• When we get under 1k posts til the GET start posting occasionally on the board to gauge how fast the post number is rising.
• WATCH OUT FOR THE 10 SECOND FLOOD DETECTOR BETWEEN POSTS
10 Seconds is a FUCKING LONG TIME when you're posting in the last critical seconds for the GET.
• WATCH OUT FOR THE 5 MINUTE FLOOD DETECTOR BETWEEN DUPLICATE POSTS
Quickly add a random letter to your post (or ideally a full-stop) and slam that post button again.
• WATCH OUT FOR THE FUCKING CAPTCHA
Have that shit clicked and entered a handful of seconds before you post, don't do it just as you post.
• Finally, CHECK IF YOU'RE ALREADY BANNED ( www.4chan.org/banned (copy and paste the url to avoid referrer header tracking) ) switch proxies, reset your router and evade that shit if you are.
Beware, it can sometimes say you're not banned when, in reality, you are (attempting to post will put a red bar at the bottom of the Quick Reply saying "You are Banned" regardless of what www.4chan.org/banned says)
In this case, clear your cache and cookies, possibly hop to another proxy/reset your router and make a test post somewhere to see if you are truly banned.
