990c3c No.853

We are probably all aware of how the IGF work and how corrupt they are. In case not, here is a video series by ShortFatOtaku and CameraLady with tons of info:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNyM7lxFy98

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ON-oL4Mlks

(I actually recommend (re-)watching them, since they name a bunch of the typical suspects that might be important this year as well.)

Now IndieCade is coming up in 2 weeks and there are already some hints on corruption. IndieCade is not the same as IGF, but they seem to have similar agendas and are deep in the SocialJustice-Ideology. Two of IndieCades chairs were LWs sexual partners and gave her an award for Depression Quest.

Here is a list of IndieCades Organizers:

http://www.indiecade.com/2015/organizers

Check out the nominated games and see if you can find any connections to employers of IndieCade, Investors from Indie-Fund or other people high up in the IndieGames community.

http://www.indiecade.com/2015/nominees

Here is a list of the games selected to be shown at IndieCade (less important?):

http://www.indiecade.com/2015/games

Keep Indie-Fund and their investors in mind: https://archive.is/MSMSC

I'll follow up with a specific case and two others if I find the info that was already posted in the /v/ general. I'll post anything that is discussed in the /v/ general and may seem important here in a timely manner and any connections I find when I look further into this in the coming days.

Your help is really appreciated, thanks.

The first case is a really weird one. It's a LARP game, that isn't really a game. It's more like an interactive theater play.

IndieCades page of the Game: https://archive.is/0hHcn

Article from Offworld's Leigh Alexander: https://archive.is/1BdR0

The devs website: http://rainb.ro/

Game in Unity Web Player: http://games.rainb.ro/andmaybetheywontkillyou/andmaybetheywontkillyou.html

You basically just make a decision if you want to respond to people showing racism towards you and if you do, no matter what you say (you can type in a response in the Unity game), you always get the same nonsensical reaction of racism.

The dev has some connections to IndieCade, since he has worked for IndieCade in the past. See pic #2.

Even the fact that it got picked over real games just because it was created by a black man and because it tackles an issue for poor black people (really bad at that) is already a red flag.

And then there is pic#3, showing a clear bias towards the merit of games. Not really a CoI or corruption, but I doubt many indiedevs are really aware that they might lose to a game, just because theirs is not diverse enough or doesn't promote the correct ideology.

Just in case it may become relevant. The dev also had the opportunity to show the game at xoxo fest.

Another possible digging target:

Keep an eye out for Armello:

It's a game funded by the investors at Indie-Fund who have a history of being jurors at IndieCade. https://archive.is/1qTqG#selection-573.0-573.50

I haven't checked the links in the description, but maybe there is more.

I'm currently helping getting #OPRaptor off the ground, so I'll be back into digging some time later.

You could help out if you want. It's to rebuild gaming press with trusted sites. Just follow @TechRaptr on twitter, and if you want to go beyond that, you can encourage people to follow them by sharing their articles and include a message like I did here: https://twitter.com/CalemAnnk/status/653026035764736000

For completeness sake:

Butt Sniffin Pugs https://archive.is/ShrmT

They already got a plug by Gamasutra "Staff" just recently and they have an upcoming Kickstarter campaing, probably directly after IndieCade. This game is SocJus-clique approved.

Gamasutra article pluggin it: https://archive.is/ZvhDo

Butt Sniffin Pugs is working with Maya Kramer (@legobutts) as a PR Coordinator and is in the "2015 Official Selections: Digital Selects" list.

Maya Kramer has a history of being corrupt. She allegedly was the a romantic/sex partner of ZQ and is an organizer of IndieCade. ZQ won an award for her game Depression Quest last year.

There's quite a few games on Indie Fund that are also nominees. Too many to be coincidence. Time to start digging into those dev connections

990c3c No.881

>>878

Watch the video I've linked in the second and third post. It explains that Indie Fund is basically a set up from former indie devs to support their clique friends and profit off of it.

1b56fc No.965

So does being an IndieCade organizer mean that they are jurors in the competition?

cac744 No.992

>>965

I've asked CameraLady and she had no info on the jurors. I looked for a short while and couldn't find anything. If I remember correctly ShortFatOtaku and CameraLady mention in the above videos that the juror list has been kept a secret for the past years, but it's better if you rewatch those yourself, especially the one posted in the 2nd and 3rd thread.

Would be great if others could look deeper into this.

2e5066 No.995

>>992

You're right about that, only the IGF makes its list of jurors public, or at least they used to.

Consentacle is made by the clique, and was involved in pic related.

Prune is made by one Joel McDonald, who follows a shitload of clique members. Also follows at least two Indie Fund people, Ron Carmel and Kellee Santiago. The latter used to be jury chairwoman or something of Indiecade when they handed an award to Fez.

Sentree's Glitchnap follows Wu and CON on Twitter and probably other cancers, the follow list is too damn long.

Red & Pleasant Land and Myriad seem to be remarkably clean. The later's studio, Bifrost, has one dev however who may be suspicious, the guy behind Iconoclasts. Follows several cancerous devs and Brandon Boyer. It's circumstantial but still.

Also I just noticed Indie Fund used to fund Spacebase DF-9 kek. I have no doubt Schafer used the sales money from it to pay of the Indie Fund.

I dug for Armello, but they seem to be pretty clean. Their Gameranx review only came out yesterday, and the reviewer was at least able to mention the publisher (also developer) provided the copy of the game.

But this is a bit alarming
