No.106
Can the 8 Lounge please give me feedback on my album? It was made entirely of Bass Guitar and Vocals. Apparently good to sleep with. That is the only feedback I have heard!

I like this board. It is nice.
No.108
>>107Thanks, Mr(s). Anon. You're nice too.
I'm not a music expert (I'm hoping we'll get more traffic from /mu/), but the bass I hear from the right channel throws the melody off a bit. You might need more syncing on it. Aside from that, it's a nice tune.
>If other Mr(s). Anons are on tonight or tomorrow, feel free to comment on k's album.>I'll also sticky you for a bit because #yolo No.109

And yes, I did.

Also, one of the benefits of being a board owner is you can delete double-posts fairly easily.

it's really good.

>>121Ha! I got the 1st trips of this board ever (pls dont ban me).
>>140Yeah. I tried to make music with just Bass and vocals. I have more on other accounts if you like it.
>>148I would ask what words are filtered so I know not to use them but they are probably filtered.
No.241
>>175Sure, feel free to post whatever you want, though if you're concerned about copyright infringement or other things of that ilk, you might want to refrain from posting certain pieces - I don't monitor how people use / distribute stuff on this board and I'm not sure if you can delete a post you want to change or if 8chan doesn't let you do that on all boards (I know I couldn't delete posts on /b/).
Also, here's a list of the filtered words. It's not that you're expected to refrain from using them - it's just that when you do, these alternatives will pop up instead. It makes the board kind of classy.
No.243
>>242Alright, yup so that list

it's like a lo-fi linkin park minus the rapping
the layering is all off, vocals aren't clear enough because you're insecure about your voice, there aren't enough effects on the bass line and it comes off really boring
It's like you've got good ideas, but minimal prowess. Keep making music though, I think you've got a good sense for writing music.

>>292Thanks my good friend. I made something else. Let me know what you think of this then.

>>106I'm listening through your music now k. and I'm really enjoying it. It's pretty calming, not so complex but it's only one instrument so I can forgive that. Perfect for relaxing the mind.

>>358>>384Thank you both for listening to my music. I play quite a lot of instruments. I actually chose to make that music with just the 1 instrument as a sort of protest to someone I went to school with who told me that the bass was the worst instrument in the world and that you couldn't make music with just it. Ha. Anyway. Thank you again for hearing it. Hopefully some day I can make something amazing!

>>106Its pretty amazing but i think it needs more instruments, it's good for relaxing 8/10

though i the songs have too many bass layers. songs meant to have 1 strong base layer not 2-3.
bring vocals up front more and put bass in the background.
if you want to see what i mean listen to this song, since its i assume the kind of flow your going for

>>241I approve of these filters, Mr(s). Anon

Back To Bassics could really benefit from a smooth jazzy beat in the background but it is really excellent nonetheless

I like it, simple but pleasant to listen too. The effect on the voice feels like too much at times, though. I like Back to Bassics, it's got a nice beat and makes me feel like I'm driving down a desert road at night, also nice pun.

This is really good! I like the simplicity of it, yet it's somehow super deep at the same time! Awesome!
