 No.2264

Greetings /8lounge/ from your friends at /skill/. I'm here to advertise a board you might want to take a look at. Skill is all about learning, teaching, and self improvement.
>>>/skill/
Tell me what you think about /skill/. How can I improve that board? Thank you for your time and patience, /8lounge/.

There are other boards discussing self improvment, but I would start compiling books for self improvment in a thread and posting links to them or uploading them. >>>/pdfs/ has quite a few books, some of which may or may not be useful.

Finding motivational stuff and starting a thread on it might not be a bad idea.

I'll say the poppycockposting rule is rather vague btw. Not sure about this.

For people to post in your board there must be something already there. Getting boards running takes time and effort. I have seen some die under very strongly motivated mods too. Just saying.

You might want to diffrentiate yourself from the other self improvment boards somehow…

Afterwards try advertising on /boards/ and posting and update on how things are going here.

Good luck!

I'll clear things up about the poppycockposting. Our board is kind of like /r/ but for learning, not quite sure wether there are many boards like that, but thank you for your kind response

First step to self-improvement: Get off 8chan.

That's not quite true my friend. One can still browse 8chan, be /fit/, enlightened, /skill/ed, and socially acceptable.
