Finding motivational stuff and starting a thread on it might not be a bad idea.
I'll say the poppycockposting rule is rather vague btw. Not sure about this.
For people to post in your board there must be something already there. Getting boards running takes time and effort. I have seen some die under very strongly motivated mods too. Just saying.
You might want to diffrentiate yourself from the other self improvment boards somehow…
Afterwards try advertising on /boards/ and posting and update on how things are going here.
