>>2370No problem. Welcome. Feel free to discuss any political (or other) issues you want. If you have suggestions for the board, you can post them in the welcome thread (one of the stickies).
Also, sorry for the blatant shill m8.

>>2370Greetings /pol/ite individual.
Any witty tidbits from our friends in your home board?

No.2387
Interesting board.
A relaxed vibe washed over me after lurking in a few threads.
No.2389
>>2387I think the point to some extent. A relaxing atmosphere like a lounge.
No.2392
>>2387As is to be expected.
I can't say for sure, but if we are not THE most chill board, we're certainly in the top 5.
No.2398
It's difficult to find a classy /pol/-themed lounge picture, but this will do for now.
No.2399
>>2392I am hoping to improve it some too. I'll find some more jazzy music for this place.
No.2400
>>2399Sounds good, Mr(s). Anon. Check out contributing to the jukebox thread at the top of the board. We also just got a new rain cafe machine, which has rain sounds you can customize. It's pretty neat.

>>2434These are nice. I offer you a few more Hitler (and some Churchill) in exchange.
No.2437
>>2436Oops, I missed a Hitler.
No.2438
>>2434Nice, thanks for these.
According to a biography I read, Mao had a large custom-built bed that was covered in books on one side, and he would often get comfy and read for hours and hours.
No.2439
>>2438That sounds glorious. I've always wanted to own furniture that doubles as bookshelves. In my opinion, being surrounded by books is about the comfiest thing there is.
I own quite a few books, but I simply don't have room for them where I'm living now, so they sit in boxes that I stack up and turn into platforms for other things.
No.2440
It seems that Mr. Castro enjoyed having a nice game of golf.
No.2443
>>2439>iktfThere are some clever bookshelf designs made for cramped apartments.
You should check them out if you plan to stay in your place for a while.
I never feel moved in until my books are out.
No.2445
>>2443Is there a particular place you'd recommend for that kind of furniture? My original plan was to arrange everything and put wall shelves up in the empty spaces, but my lease doesn't allow me to hang anything "Heavier than a poster" without paying a pretty steep wall repair deposit.
I also seem to be having trouble finding pictures of Lenin at ease outside of this one photo shoot. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, it IS Lenin, after all.
No.2450
>>2445There are boutique stores in places like NY and SF that have a lot of clever furniture for small apartments.
There is a blog that has a bunch of ideas, but I can't seem to find it right now.
Sorry your landlord is so strict.
Have people in the other apartments come up with any good ideas that you can rip off?
No.2455
>>2450Not that I'm aware of. There is a rather large collection of negrordly people where I live. The turnover is fairly high due to people arriving, paying the deposit, defaulting on rent 3-4 months in a row, and leaving the day before the manager is allowed to get the authorities involved. Most of them are loud at all hours, and I've recently developed a roach problem since they cleaned up after the Tennants who lived next to me. All of that combined with the rather questionable paraphernalia I've seen the cleaning crews deal with results in my lack of interest in talking to them about such things.

fellow /pol/ack here. I've been on 8lounge for a while now. definitely one of the most chillax boards here.
