>>434I'm Norwegian/Australian, I were born and raised in Norway but I've been down in Australia a couple of times, mostly the east coast where my family resides. I've been down there in summer at one point and you do have it hellishly hot, especially compared to the -20 - -35 degrees we have here.

Azumanga Daioh aired during the only time in my life when I was truly happy, so it has a lot of sentimental value to me.
Sometimes I wonder what those characters are doing now. It's besn about ten years since graduation.

Hi guy, this is my first ever post on a Chan. Don't really know what to expect out of this, but had an impulse to post. I have some life stories I can share if anyones interested. Here's a pic of my dog after he pee'd on the floor while I was in the shower.

Well my first job was at a Wendy's. I was the main cashier whenever I worked because I spoke the best english (only person who worked there born in Canada), and one day when there was a line of what must've been at least 25 people, brown water started to slowly rise out of the gutter behind the counter (where I was obviously). I kept giving my manager at the drive-thru concerned looks and motioning towards the gutter but was ignored. After about 5 minutes of what I discovered was poop water rising, the entire floor was now covered. At this point most people ordering would be able to see this pretty clearly but no one said anything. I was standing on the shelf under the counter as to not be standing in sewage water. Someone asked me for child which would require me to get wet due to where it was, so I tip toed through the water up to my manager who along with my co-workers were walking through the inch of poppycock water casually and told her I refused to work in these conditions and they finally agreed to close the restaurant (not the drive-thru). This was a couple years ago so I can't remember how they cleared the drainage, but within 30 minutes everything had drained and they opened restaurant like nothing had happened. a couple hours later someone drops raw patties on the ground, picks them up and puts them in the container beside the fryers. I watch the entire thing. Pretty much everyone saw and no one said anything. I handed in my resignation next shift. Not even the worst story working at Wendy's but I'd had enough.

Walked through poppycock water and figuratively put my foot down [in poppycock water] just to serve people cooked meat that had been dropped in poppycock water.

Just got laid off from my job at a Montessori school. I ran the afterschool program, which basically consisted of the kids and I LARPing or drawing or playing music. It was pretty cool. I'm actually glad that it ended though; being a NEET is so freeing. I'm going to take my newly found free time to learn swift (the programming language) and get better at cooking.
What does 8lounge think about NEETdom? I think its great as long as you are working towards something.

>>1147>it's great as long as you are working towards somethingThis. In Renaissance Venice (and other regions), people would go on patron-funded pilgrimages, exploring the world and documenting what they saw. Productive NEETdom is pretty much the same. It gives you the change to learn skills and talents you otherwise wouldn't have. Best of luck, Mr(s). Anon.
