If I could clone myself, I'd actually end up doing decent things with my life while clone-me played videogames. Oddly enough, I don't have a problem with doing work as long as someone else is slacking off around me. That way, I feel as though I'm not missing out on the experience of slacking.

Alice was always a "empowerment means beating down everyone else" character from Dilbert's inception.
PHB was always a character that excelled in talking out of his ass and being inept in social interactions.
The joke is these two characters' interactions while Dilbert, the audience surrogate, looks on in speechless befuddlement, or based on that eyebrow raise in panel 3, amusement.
That's the point. The complete and utter breakdown of social etiquette in an office setting where different people with different values work together with no common goal, if we want to get all meta about it.

Wrong. It isn't about the actions, it's about the terminology and what it stands for. Mansplaining is a very specific term originating from radical feminism, which has a very clear meaning. It isn't everyday corporate bullpoppycock slang commonly mocked in in this strip.

Everything you mention has always been typical for Dilbert, it's the core of the strip. Using terminology like this however is very out of character. Mansplaining belongs to a very specific group of people and used with a very specific purpose, it's not some everyday word that just happened to be used.

the only thing that kind of bugs me is that Scott Adam chose to use alice to say it, which is kind of out-of-character. Alice hates everyone, not just men.
