I still am working on how to fix it. It's just JavaScript so when I figure it out it's not hard to enable in both places.

Finally my KaTeX ticket got a reply:

So if they enable a safe mode, perhaps can go back to KaTeX.

But I still have to write a full bug report to the MathJax ML of the browser-crashing issue and see what they say about it.

The reason it's disabled is because /b/ found another bug in it to crash innocent anon's browsers (again).
