- From the period between May 18 2015 to June 18 2015, 8chan received one request from an US government agency for user information. This was an emergency request regarding a direct threat made on the /islamicstate/ board. The request was filled, however the post requested was made over the Tor hidden service fullchan4jtta4sx.onion. I informed them of this, they asked me if I could "trace" posts made over Tor, I told them that if anyone could it would be the NSA, but so far as I know Tor has no backdoors, and subsequently did not hear back.

8chan complied with 0 DMCA requests during the period between May 18 2015 to June 18 2015. We received numerous other deletion requests but because of either incompleteness, incorrect filing or lack of sworn statement they were ignored. The most interesting of these were a group of requests from women in Adelaide, Australia for photo deletions. However, they seemed to have missed the fact that while a few photos were uploaded into the thread, the vast majority of them were complaining about being on a "list" that was a screenshot posted on the /aus/ board of a Windows directory listing. Computer ignorance aside they reached fever pitch when I told them nothing could be done, but eventually the board creator of /aus/ capitulated and deleted the directory listing screenshot (which does nothing to delete the files or even ascertain who has them). 8chan received no takedown requests from NCMEC during the period betweenMay 18 2015 and June 18 2015.

8chan's warrant canary has not expired and is being monitored by the EFF at https://canarywatch.org/8chan/. This page was previously https://canarywatch.org/z8chan/ , I assume to put it on the bottom of their list in their CMS. I emailed the EFF about this move without warning users or redirecting and the fact that it incorrectly lists our domain as "8chan.net", a message which unfortunately received no reply.
