I'll put a spoiler around that for you then. The heroes manage to recover all the corpse parts, but not only does an alternate universe Diego Brando equipped with a wimped but more frequent The World rob it, Johnny doesn't even get to actually finish the race.
DiegoAU then proceeds with hiding the holy corpse in a vault Valentine prepared for him, but he gets killed by Lucy Steel, ensuring that only the Steels and Johnny Joestar know how to take the corpse out of the vault
However, since Johnny is an idiot, he marries one of the Higashikatas, who later contracts a terrible disease which turns you into a Smart Mop. To try and save her, he uses the corpse's "equivalent exchange" capabilities to get the illness out of the woman and into someone else out of reach. Except it comes back biting him in the ass because HIS SON George gets it and it forces Johnny to sacrifice himself by absorbing the illness. In all this, the corpse is now buried in nipland, except somehow this influences a New Guinean plant to give out the exact same effect to whoever eats it.

Avdol/Abdul was... I think his character was a bit all over the place. He was supposed to be a fortune teller, but he never uses any of his fortune telling anytime in the whole chapter, he starts off as a stoic character and kind of stays like that except a lot of times he acts like a lunatic. I like to imagine that he was actually a sham as an actual tarot reader and bullshat people with his stand powers.
Kakyoin is the one I wish had staid till the very end, he seems like the one that changed the most, even if very subtly - starting as a loner and ending up thinking of the fate of his companions and family over his own.

This happens pretty much in all parts but the first, and that's just because of the low character count. Part III has Polnareff, and since all the other characters bar Iggy are exactly like that, he gets twice the page time than all the other characters combined.
It gets much, MUCH better in future parts because of the high number of non stoic characters, but the pattern stays pretty much the same all throughout. In fact, the most memorable panels from part III onward are those that you least expect to happen. IMO though, being formulaic doesn't mean being bad.

Why does everyone hate on Vento Aureo? From 3-6 it's all stand fight after stand fight. I liked Five the most out of all of them except for the cuhrazy ness at the end of part 6 and Giorno is one of the coolest smoothest cats out there. Trish is also fucking sexy, but Araki really does know how to make a manga woman sexy.
I personally didn't like part iv that much but I had trouble finding a consistent translation or even good scans at all tbh fam. Also I didn't like the random character size changes, new characters being introduced for like no fucking reason at all, it was really just a mess.
