Currently reading Sendai Yuusha wa Inkyou Shitai in chapter 9, so far so good

What are you reading /a/?

Waiting for the new volume of Reichsloli to arrive

Waiting for the next volume of Index to publish

Curetly reading volume 1 of hai to genso no Gurimugaru

I like it a lot, So far my favorite alternative take on the genre

I read "Fate/Zero" about 2 and a half year ago, thought it was pretty gr8. Now I am mainly reading 'Zero no Maria' and 'welcome to the NHK'. Zero no Maria seems really interesting, endless 8 / groundhog day pushed up to 11. I have read a little bit of 'slime datta ken', 'spider datta ken' and 'shield hero'. Spider seems more interesting out of those three.

Shieldbro is pretty good, however i have mostly been reading the manga.

 No.434937

>>434935

Who is translating the Shieldbro LN now?

 No.434950

I am waiting on Index's next volume and for the group translating the edgefest that is Master of Monster, which I discovered in a thread like this last year. I also have to read the last couple of volumes of Date a Live and Heavy Object, but I just ain't feeling like it. What I really wanted to read was the shitstorm ending of Haganai for myself. I was also interested in Rokka no Yuusha.

I stopped reading all reincarnation LNs because I was sick of them, though. Now I only follow their mangos.

>>434925

The best Zero no Maria volumes are 1 and last I liked the first one more though. The others don't deal with time loops, and, while interesting, they don't measure up to the first one.

>>435896

e-reader are fine if you got it in .epub or another format.

I'm reading nothing at the moment. My previous book was Heavy Object until Volume 4.

Not sure if I like or don't HO, that's a strange feeling.

The expunged of Campione! in BT was really a hard punch for me.

 No.435942

>>435748

Was it a fun ride?

>>435896

I use a tablet

>>435901

That's entirely up to you anon, although you won't see colored pages and covers if you're using e-ink display, this has been the only thing stopping me from getting an e-reader

 No.435947

>>435942

I don't know if colors are that important, the papery feel you get with e-ink makes greyscale look pretty good.

And I don't see a lot of manga with enough colored page to make it a problem

Do you get eyestrain with the tablet ?

 No.435957

>>435947

No eyestrain, then again the brightest I usually have it at is medium for outdoors and lowest for indoors, I heard one of Amazon's™ e-readers has an experimental internet browser so I might consider getting those in the future so I don't have to make pdfs of translator's websites

 No.435966

>>435957

I'd advise against any kindle, you can't install shit on it and the experimental browser is not usable (and will never be e ink is bad for it). there are some android ones on the market.

 No.435967

For manga my advice is to take a tablet. Because it's easier to browse on internet, than with an e-reader.

E-Reader tends as far as I know to be less good with internet.

What I use for LN is a Kobo and it's quite good. Though sometimes it's a bit slow when turning the page. Be aware of that.

But I took the cheaper one.

>>435957

>so I don't have to make pdfs of translator's websites

On some e-reader .pdf are really badly execute. It's better to have .epub (or any related format) so it's a bit more work.

 No.435968

>>435967

Have you tried to convert your books to kepubs ? I hear it makes things a lot faster. (didn't need to on my glo hd yet)

Why do you guys want to browse the internet so much with your ereaders ?

 No.435974

>>435968

Since he was talking about going on internet, I said it won't be good (for some e-reader at least).

I didn't tried the .kepub thanks for the advice. It wasn't very bad with .epub, but sometimes it's really long (when battery is going low for some reasons).

 No.435976

>>435966

>>435967

I'll stick with my current tablet then

>Most LN translations are online and when selecting the text to convert to pdf/kepub you risk seeing a spoiler

Or they do it themselves and then put it on the ePUB Generator?

 No.436392

I've read up to Volume 4 of Tate No Yuusha no Nariagari. I love it. The MC gets shit over him throughout the four volumes, screwed over by damn near everyone save for a select few.

Yet.

He endue, no not endure, thrive. He had no attack power but his defense is goddamn ridiculous so, he allow himself to be attack by these little furry biting balls things and for the first volume used them as a weapon.

It's amazing.

 No.436395

>>436392

Shieldbro a champ.

Loves his slave. Loves his boyd. When the entire world shits on him, when most men would give up to despair, when all hope is lost he hangs his head and trudges forward.

After his initial rage he becomes implacable.

It doesn't matter if the entire world thinks you are wrong. If you know you are right and you have the strength to weather their slings and arrows you are a strong man and remember your father's face.

 No.436435

>>436368

Baka-Tsuki usually. Since I need to get it in .epub.

For others LN, usually I go on the translator's website try to grab it in .pdf and convert it.

I started reading The Reunion with Twelve Fascinating Goddesses. There's only two volumes out, but it's looking like it will really be 12 volumes long.

It's pretty simple, but is rather interesting.

Also MC makes a bet with the loli goddess of Time And Relative Dimensions In Space that he will defeat her as the bonus boss. Winner gets his asshole licked by the loser.

Currently reading Danmachi, but holy shit they went too over the top with the MC powerlevels. Also, the web novel translation looks almost like machine translation, but I'm enduring it for Liza alone (who never gets screen time, sadly). Maybe I should stick to the manga, instead. I just finished reading the novel, it certainly is quite different from how I remember the anime. I am planning to read the manga and to rewatch the anime. (I watched it about 10 years ago.) It is quite surprising to see what things weren't in the book that were added to the anime: like the pyramid scheme woman, Hiromi role was pretty much one scene in the book and Yamazaki and Misaki didn't interact with each other at all in the book. Also, the amount of drugs used is pretty crazy. What do you think of it, do you like it / think that it is a good story?

(I was originaly planing to start a new thread, but I tough I might post it here instead. )

The new Altina volume is dropping soon, right? Last book I read they were escaping the capital, shit was on fire, and the nerd was looking to start a harem with his reverse trap knight, rape maid, and the sword princess. Yeah, I stopped reading because I figured Rudy wasn't going to make humanity great again with Hitogami's help also I signed up for some fun times, not rape and misery which I felt was the path the series was going down.

Are there any series apart from No Game No Life where the Main Characters make humans the dominant race hand in hand with God or after punching him in the face? I'm not too sure about how Shield Bro goes since I only got to after the island exchange experience or so, but I was waiting for the LN version before continuing to read it, in hopes they fix the (according to other anons) weak ending.
