While Vivid meant to be the cute magical side, Force seemed to be the darker action side. It had a dude MC, and villains that were edgelords and had to murder to live who wanted the MC to join them since he was infected with the same rage virus they were.
The grimdark stuff it tried fell flat. Signum's first on screen lost meant nothing other than to go BLOOD DARK! As she was just fine later.
The only thing I liked about Force were the weapon designs and the idea behind them. Some complained about Nanoha's Fortress and Strike Cannon being too big and bulky, but I loved them, it was like her continuing to evolve into an gundam.
And the reason for them being that the villains can make themselves immune to magical energy, so with this new gear the user puts magical power in and physical kinetic force comes out, meaning no more 'stun' or 'clothing only' mode. That along with cute girls is just the kinda shit I show up to Nanoha for.

Not up to date with Vivid, don't think the translation is either. Was hoping to be able to see it with color and sound. Guess will give up and start up with the manga again soon. But as the tournament was ending, it seemed much of the befriending was successful.
