I typically use MPC-HC for all my Chinese cartoon watching needs. You can even customize the crap out of it if you're into that.

Don't listen to this retard, VLC decodes like shit. The only thing it has going for it is that it plays nicer with super weak hardware (like, 6 year old smartphone, or single-board PC tier hardware). If you have a laptop or a desktop computer with post 90's parts, MPC-HC with the right codecs will work better and look better than VLC.

Runs 720p fine on my cherry trail tablet on the default medium configuration.

If you're on a toaster there's a low-performance configuration you can use I guess, try it anyway, it's literally a single .exe.
