Anon, it was just a silly comedy that didn't take itself too seriously. Sure, you could argue that the last two episodes were more serious and had more character development, but that doesn't change the overall tone of the rest of the show. Even if they did a second season, they would ignore the ending and go as if nothing had happened. At best geekboy would scream:
