Reich loli is proof that lolis can be the greatest military soldiers.
Maniacal lolis anyways.
Did you want to derail the new thread with Furendos?
why does that crested ibis turn up everywhere?
>Stuck in Japari Park
>"Curse you Being X!"
I thought it was a new Kobayashi dragon.
She just wants to be loved
I'm slightly annoyed that the first noteworthy and good anime with a world war setting in fucking forever is loli-magitech-reincarnation style shit. I mean, Youjo Senki is still pretty good, but fuck I am a complete sucker for either world war as a setting and anime as a whole completely avoids it. I would kill for pretty much just an anime version of some american war movie.
Wars will always be a touchy subject, even more so when you show the ´´heroes´´ faults or crimes, and try to show the ´´villains´´ in a slightly more favorable light.
The West is so used to Germany= EVIL that there will always be backlash against showing the more gentle side of them, unless it's the (((right))) kind of characters.
That's the other shitty meme show.
FUCKING SHIT MANG, WHERES THE PLUG AT?
>Get to episode 10.
>Where the fuck are my subtitles.
More importantly, manly shit doesn't sell except in a handful of normalfag friendly franchises, so magical war girls and undertones of yaoi are your only options.
Subs are delayed because crunchyroll fucked up so one more day to wait I guess
>one more day to wait
>Being X curses Tanya to be reincarnated in a different anime franchise every time she dies, and with all her memories intact
>the cycle will never end until she surrenders to God or goes insane
I'd watch it.
>It doesnt end until she gives in to yuri.
I can't fucking Deus Vult tonight because of THIS HONG KONG CHINK. He doesn't even watch anime or speak Japanese.
I really hope this doesn't turn into shonen levels of power creep.
You wouldn't lewd her in the middle of the night would you /a/?
Good episode. My autism is sated. I look forward to seeing how they fuck it all up next episode.
You know it is. Being X is going to ramp up the difficulty until Tanya gives in.
YouTube embed. Click thumbnail to play.
Shit looked too good to be true. Deus vult
The worst thing about the power creep, is that it just makes the rest of her squadron useless and it'll become a stupid ace vs ace situation, which I really hope the author will avoid.
>Touched her first
>Get shot first
Don't touch Serebryakova.
I can't stop laughing. They choose this picture for her on myanimelist.

When will they show us the big cats?
So the not-english are gonna show up and break the encirclement, returning to the status quo with a lot of wasted resources for the empire? Or will it be a dunkirk and the republican army evacuates?
Yeah, her squad has been surprisingly competent so far. But you just know there'll be an over dramatic dogfight between Tanya and this guy soon. Although I wouldn't worry too much about power creep. It's not like there will ever be a S2.
I'd setup a stand and charge people to look at the horse-faced freakshow.
Seeing as Tanya's engaged with them, we got a fightscene before us. I don't see her winning it though, she'll probably have to fall back.
>using fucking brooms
They're not trying to be subtle, are they?
It really doesn't matter.
They reminded me of the speeder bikes from Star Wars.
Doesn't WW1 have less of a stigma because no gassing and ignorant burgers not even knowing about it?
Sure, but that's also in part because WW2 happened shortly afterwards and overshadowed the first one easily with even more atrocity propaganda. During WW1 you also had some of the same kind of propaganda against germany where the same old shit was claimed of bayonetting belgian infants and chopping off the hands of belgians and gassing six gorillion serbs and lots of other shit.
Still, depending on who you ask, the majority of people will even today be convinced that germany was the big baddy and cause of WW1.
World war one is the one with actual gassing.
WW1 was the one with the liberal application of gas and piss soaked rag masks.
>They're not trying to be subtle, are they?
Is the design cannon? Is pretty ugly.
Dear God, anon.
>a panzer III traveling in a tunnel in magic world
>Still, depending on who you ask, the majority of people will even today be convinced that Germany was the big baddy and cause of WW1.
And is true. The main goal of Germany in the WWI destroyed the Russia Empire before become stronger than the Germany Empire.
Don't forget the shotguns.
>using a "anti-tank" panzer against infantry
This is pretty good. What are the chances of a season 2? Or will it all be wrapped up by the end of this season?
>I want to fap to my Jewish fantasy of invading my homeland and killing my bretheren to further the interests of the global financial network
You have been trained well, I see. How is that public school education going for you?
>hurr-durr, Star Wars turned into shit over decades, so you don't get to remember anything about the original trilogy
It was always shit. Fuck 3D.
>The blond guy keeps getting blown up first.
Is he a candidate for the JUST league?
The original trilogy was a fucking disaster. Lucas destroyed his own story. He started off with something amazing, new, and thought-provoking, then totally shifted gears into a stereotypical hero's journey Empire Strikes Back.
I don't remember his name, but one of the creative directors who helped with the original trilogy gave a great interview on this. Original Star Wars story was way, way different, and was going to be so, so much better. You could still see some remnants of that original story in the EU, but with Disney acquiring the rights to Star Wars, they negated everything that happened in the EU. Those were the last tiny shreds of the original story, and they are gone now.
I loved Star Wars growing up, but now that I've learned what it could have been, I'm only disgusted when I see it. So much wasted potential.
>The original trilogy was a fucking disaster. Lucas destroyed his own story. He started off with something amazing, new, and thought-provoking, then totally shifted gears into a stereotypical hero's journey
You sound like one of those "the prequels are kino" memelord faggots.
No, the original story was just supposed to be a lot different.
>Palpatine has force visions showing that in the near future another, much more powerful galaxy is going to invade and destroy the Republic
>he can't tell the Jedi about this, because 1.) they probably wouldn't believe him since even Yoda hadn't forseen anything about it and 2.) he'd have to reveal he's a fucking sithlord
>instead he builds a massive clone army and organizes a coup so he can build a giant militarized Empire in hopes of fending off the impending invasion
>Luke/Vader story is still the same, except at the end of RotJ, Luke kills Palpatine and Vader, and becomes a sith
>After he becomes a sith and takes control of the Empire he learns the truth and why Palpatine acted as he did
>Luke now has to deal with the fallout of killing the only two people who were powerful enough to help him stave off the impending invasion.
To me, that is a much more interesting story, and it is considerably more unique than the stereotypical hero's journey that Star Wars became.
>Palpatine did nothing wrong
fuck, posted wrong file
Unless this new snowflake has a incredibly competent military force literally ontop of the imperials without them noticing its encroach, even if he goes maximum snowflake he won't be able to do much.
Just cuz u can't comrepehdnable the situational understand in to they of those that spoked to the point in understandable them and then comprehend what their said to them and until then dont spoke
Poor Grantz. He survived murdering children, but not a guy who came back from the dead twice.
lol @ grantz
how do you even get sneak attacked like that lmao
nigga its the sky just look behind you lol
like just turn around my man hahahaha
Can't tell if this guy is trolling or is actually this retarded.
What a great may may
What? This episode had part of her squad taking out the enemy headquarters without her, you picked the worst possible time to cry about power creep.
Wait to see the sell of DB.
I finally remembered what the anime left out. The lack of distinct mage tools like in the anime meant there were a lot of volunteer mages of dubious origins.
Are they the !Americans?
Pigs are Frenchies. Horse might be American.
They come on Mondays.
Hurr what is the powered up federation colonel turning back up who is now on par with tanya, meaning her squad are now basically meat shields.
What? You think God is just sprinkling good mage genes everywhere but the Empire so they stand a chance?
>The main goal of Germany in the WWI destroyed the Russia Empire before become stronger than the Germany Empire.
The only nation with absolutely nothing to gain from the war was Germany
>France: Reclaim Elsaß-Lothringen
>Russia: Warm water ports in Prussia
>Britain: Muh continental balance of power, stopping Germany from overtaking them economically
>Japan: German colonies in the pacific and China
>USA: Gaining huge influence on the European powers through bonds, debts and interest (fun fact, the interest payments were a reason why the reparations from the Versailles treaty were so fuckhuge)
Pretty nice projection actually, stopping Germany from becoming too strong was the entire reason for the war
Maybe they'll lose the first war then win the second war in this story
Divine blessings, perhaps?
>Maybe they'll lose the first war then win the second war in this story
In the manga there's a 40 year flash-forward and Empire is confirmed to have lost, framed as the aggressor. It would be quite a long interbellum, since the Empire seemed relatively stable and Tanya would be 50 years old. I think the Empire will eventually surrender, but with better terms than the Treaty of Versailles. As for the anime, I'm guessing the season will end with the Francois Republic's surrender, but with the UK and Russy Federation joining in.
I have no idea what you are even on about. I'm touching on the anime not mentioning partisan mages because the anime decided to include mage tools which can distinctly identify the mages to their country.
So basically just a repeat of DUNE.
Star Wars was the original psyop used to indoctrinate the general public to revolt against emperor figures and empires in general.
We doing this now?
>The only nation with absolutely nothing to gain from the war was Germany
Yeah, because other members of the central powers gained so much. Fucking krauts, they fuck up everything and think that they are the only victims. The Kaiser should have tried to ease the UK into neutrality, but he had to build a useless fleet and then approve an attack through the low countries, like the autistic fuck he was.
I want an anime nazi mage GF
>Not wanting to be the nazi mage cutie yourself
>the Entente won because of burgers
>not wanting to be the magic nazi loli yourself and still having a magic nazi loli gf
Isn't it just an ancient /int/ shitpost in webm form anyway?
>I hate krauts who disagree with me but I hate other countries even more. -t. Otto van Bismarck
>This statement alone caused a breakthrough in German thought. Led by this "genius" rhetoric, the Germans brought their inferiority complex to new heights. They were now united as one, undivided in their quest for relevance.
>Legend of Galactic Heroes soundtrack is playing in the background
I'm dying here anon
>>not wanting to be the magic nazi loli yourself and still having a magic nazi loli gf
To be fair, if I had memories of being a guy, yuri would be the only road to go down.
Magic nazi loli orgy when?
Unless he was always a homo it makes sense he'd still like women with all his memories intact. Unless it's like that current manga that suggests that being transformed into a girl make you crave dick despite being straight as a dude.
>Unless it's like that current manga that suggests that being transformed into a girl make you crave dick despite being straight as a dude.
Actually not unlikely. Hormones are one hell of a thing and when you've lived your last, say, 14 years as an actual grill you might think diffrently about it.
Which manga? Do you mean boku girl?
Yeah, think that's the one that gets posted here now and again.
Prunus girl actually
Not reading either, so whatever works.
The best bait is the bait that uses the truth.
>His own story
You mean Gary Kurtz's, which he then took full credit from and ran with the merchandizing money like the kike lover he is.
"Americans are peaceloving people"
"Germans Holocausted innocent jews"
Gee I wonder... etc.
>perfidious Albion gets involved, conducts sneak attack and doesn't even bother giving a formal declaration of war
The eternal notAnglo is eternal, even in magic Reichloli land.
>Entire show main chars model, design and animations are a trainwreck.
>Panzer 3 is modeled downed to the last rivet on it's spare rolls.
Where were you when the obviously outsourced assets are 1 000 000th time better drawn than the main show...
I'm pretty sure you can buy finished Panzer III models.
>but he had to build a useless fleet
The fleet had two tasks: Firstly it should have made germany a valuable partner for the uk. Secondly, the german fisherships in the north sea needed protection of the english ships who purposely destroyed their fisher nets regularly.
>the Kaiser should have tried to ease the UK into neutrality
That´s literally what they tried to do right before the begin of the war and even many years before. But England was hell bound on going to war with germany since the unification in 1871. They just needed an excuse.
>and then approve an attack through the low countries, like the autistic fuck he was.
There also are more reasons for this. Firstly it´s just strategically seen the right thing to do. Germany was encircled by Russia and France after all. Secondly, Belgium had a pact with France to allow them to station troops on their ground, so Belgium wasn´t even really neutral to begin with. They were as "neutral" as the americans in the second world war. And last but not least, the germans even offered the belgian goverment reparations for all damages cost by the german army, if the belgians would have allowed them to send troops through their country legaly. But they said no, so Germany had to invade by force. They still planned to pay the reparations in case they won though.
You know nothing about the World War I honestly. Please stop posting before you embarass yourself even more. It´s exactly like >>649725 said: Germany was the country who was the least interested in this war. Pretty much every nation involved in World War I had a reason to join in, but Germany on the other hand was just drawn into it by the warmongering english and french, who tried to start a war with germany since its unification.
>her hand is a royal flush
She can't keep getting away with it!
I love this slice of life type of whatever this is and Serebryakova is really cute in this. But I'm also glad it's kept as a seperate thing out of the actual show.
there re doing a little of cute funny type stuff with grantz but he is dead now
He isn't confirmed dead yet, right? It looked more like he just got knocked out. Also this short is from shortly before the battle where he got hit so it's fine.
>'Is there anything else you'd like if you win?~'
Well, they guys admitted or at least joked about being lolicons in Shenki 5.
>It´s exactly like >>649725 said: Germany was the country who was the least interested in this war.
Straight up false. Germany had clear plans for eastwards expansion and the establishment of the Mittleuropa system, and even had plans to annex the remains of Lorraine and the eastern bank of the Meuse from Belgium, as well as making them a client state.
There is no power in WWI that didn't have long term ambitions and desired war. The Jacobin ideals of nationalism had firmly entrenched themselves to the point war was the only solution.
Webm for anyone who wants it.
Thanks anon. Just want to let you know I always appreciate the webm
The tanks seem done computer animation which means much less effort is necessary to have them shown. It's similar to how they used 3D modeling for the town in a past episode for an action scene.
Computer animation works well in instances like this for inanimate objects, but would look off if used for people.
>using light tanks in era of trench warfare
If they weren't, they might just as well be in the manga version.
>raise battalion of meat shields
>gain an army of masochistic lolicons instead
>no matter how she grows, she won't get a busty figure
On what basis?
They're just talking shit. She's still flat in the latest volumes though.
>That feel when no sequel series set in NotWWII starring an older busty ara ara~ Tanya
Has she started menstruating yet?
Since she's 11 and this is the interwar period, she'd only be in her early 20's by 1935.
Girls can ara ara~ in their 20s if they really believe, Anon.
Being X will probably make her stop aging at some point so she can perpetually suffer.
>everyone thinks she an actual angel
>she goes along with it because it makes her look better and because she's a bitch seriously, she goes along with anything her higher ups say
She's a Japanese salary-man. Of course she listens to her superiors, how else will she make her checks?
Which makes sense when you consider how the people lower on the totem pole would be sent to positions like that pill box where they'd get blown up without any chance of fighting back. She'd rather be in a safer position by keeping some level of authority, which she tried getting by giving some advice on what to do in the war which instead of getting her a spot in some safe strategy planning committee instead got her being thought of as an ace fighter that must really be fantastic for the front lines.
Let's hope there won't be another delay this week
I liked this image so I removed the watermark. Does anyone have more high res Tanyas or Serebryakovas?
Nice work, watermarks are the worst.
Don't even say that anon.
YouTube embed. Click thumbnail to play.
There isn't, the preview is out.
Fuck, I didn't even think of that. Was expecting it to be 13 episodes. I'm not ready for this to end. If they do an anime original ending I'm going to kill myself. How popular is it in Japan?
Slightly misread >>652712
Episode 11 (tomorrow) isn't the last ep, next week will be.
She's 14 in the current light novels.
Hopefully there will be a season 2.
I doubt it though.
They're not done lowering your bitrate yet
At least I spent my pudding which I eat every week while watching one of my favourite anime airing on Fridays on Gundam Thunderbolt this time around unlike Youjo Senki as usual, so you can get fucked, Crunchy.
What kind of pudding?
This week it was chocolate chip pudding.
I dont like the design of Nazi Loli.
Her face is weird and creeps me out.
She is not cute.
They should have just used the same art-style as the manga
So,is there any truth to /a/'s theory of jealous fujos fucking up the girls' design in the anime?
The only theory is that she did it maliciously.
Well, the head character designer is a woman and is a fujo, and is an old and busted 3DPD.
What other reason could there be?
I somehow doubt that any of these magic steeds that keep appearing show up in the LN.
>[HorribleSubs] Youjo Senki - 11 [720p].mkv
I guess Being X was just baiting us.
She's pretty good.
But was that it?
She is very ugly.
Next episode, Tanya will say "I told you so."
That explains more than a few things.
Speaking of, I really like the way the face is painted in that manga promo.
Is there a name for that particular "art style"?
Here's the manga artist's Twitter. She(?) also did a Code Geass manga.
That's the Prussian black eagle. I was sure that the Empire was Austrian based.
I would have guessed that too, there's something very feminine about that pointy chin way of drawing faces, if that makes sense
>I was sure that the Empire was Austrian based.
What gave you the idea?
Being the cutest mage is suffering.
So how close is Tanya to going full mad and starting to enjoy war? She already seemed bored on her day off.
Double headed dragon in the style of the Austrian double headed black eagle, which of course is itself based on the Holy Roman Empire double headed eagle, which is based on Charlemagne, which is based on the Aquila.
But it has almost the same borders a Germany, the same uniforms, is in a similar situation, and faces none of the problems Austria-Hungary as multicultural society free of hate had during WW1 and prior to it.
>and faces none of the problems Austria-Hungary as multicultural society free of hate had during WW1 and prior to it.
Austria-Hungary was a dual monarchy where only German and Hungarian culture were recognized
Also if you look at the borders, half of Austria-Hungary is also part of the Empire. Austria proper, the northwest Balkans along the Adriatic sea, core Hungary, Slovakia and western Poland, as well as of course the lowlands.
The Empire is clearly a joining of Germany and A-H, or more accurately, it's as of the Holy Roman Empire never died and centralized instead.
>Austria-Hungary was a dual monarchy where only German and Hungarian culture were recognized
And the guy who wanted to turn it into a triple monarchy with Slavic cultures also recognized was shot by a Serb.
>shot by a Serb
>Next episode, Tanya will say "I told you so."
And then X goes timestop again: Just as planned
Though I gotta say, the idea of a prolonged intercontinental war inbetween the empire (now controlling most of europe while everyone there is shutting the fuck up) and the colonies would make for an interesting season two.
I have no idea where the story goes though. Why is the anime futher than the manga?
It honestly sounds like this is gearing up to basically be WW2: Magic edition. Next not-Russia has to step in, supported by the not-US and not-UK.
Though I do wonder how Tanya would feel about not-Japan entering the fray.
I kinda doubt they'll mention Japan for that very reason, other than a short "Japan and China duking it out. Again" maybe. No Pearl Harbor in this timeline.
I guess dumping WW2 directly onto WW1 would work. Germany taking Paris would be a step there...
I hope not though, I don't want to see god kicking germany because of a fedore tipper any futher.
You think that the kid being beaten up in front of the church will be of any significance?
>just calling it Brest
Weird, they kept picking different names for things and yet used one that is very important for WW1.
Why don't the generals consult Tanya constantly? She is definitely more capable than they are, and they know it. There would be less fuckups that way.
>You think that the kid being beaten up in front of the church will be of any significance?
I'd probably shit my pants if it somehow turned out to be uncle Adolf.
He's probably from not-stalingrad.
Perhaps there's historical reasons for the various cities having different names.
Gentlemen I loathe war.
I loathe genocide.
I loathe blitzkrieg.
I found it quite strange that she didn't contact Zettour.
She was willing to "creatively disobey orders" but she didn't pull a few favours to get him on the phone?
Zettour knows she's smart and to a lesser extent so does his friend whose name escapes me, if he got wind that Tanya was worried about future ramifications, he'd have at the very least listened seriously unlike the wide eyed pussy she has to deal with.
Your Japanese is abysmal.
It should've been そんなふうに使わない
He'd be a bit old to be our beloved messiah. Then again this doesn't follow our timeline exactly.
>You think that the kid being beaten up in front of the church will be of any significance?
My guess would be a first hint of something awakening within Tanya, something like a burning desire for justice at the end of which she leads a(n) (un)holy crusade against god himself or just a foreshadowing of bigger problems within the empire like mass dissent, starvation, refugees from not-russia and all that.
They are willing to constantly risk one of their greatest strategic minds in frontline battle. She might be their best ace mage but still in the grand scheme of things it's risky.
Can't wait for her to go full Major.
>He'd be a bit old to be our beloved messiah.
I meant to say "the boy would be too young, since Uncle H. fought in WW1 and would be in his 30s? during this time."
そんなふうに使わない is the correct way to say what you wanted to say.
>Tanya probably killed Hitler's mom
Welp. The last time Hitler's mom died it led to tens of millions of people biting the dust.
They rolled out the PzKpfw III 15 years before our germany did. The times are a bit screwed up.
Hell, we know there's an emporer, it could be Hitler for all we know.
Nah, Adi is likely one of the soldiers Tanya saved during Rhein front. He idolizes her as angel and proof of Aryan purity, and ((government)) destroying her hard work again and again will turn him once more into Der Fuhrer. After all, if merchants in the notGerman government didn't fuck up her gains later in the LN, there would have been another chance for peace.
I thought that the kid was an inkling to Tanya that the war wasn't over yet. She saw the kid get up and fight back after getting the shit kicked out of him and immediately drew parallels to the Republic. That's why she asked Serebryakova about the armistice and got mad when she read the map, she realized that the Republic was down but not out and once they regrouped the war could continue.
That actually sounds the simplest and most likely explanation so far.
>it's as of the Holy Roman Empire never died and centralized instead.
Magic exists in that world, so it's very possible. Additional possible evidence to this would be the presence of a "Christian" religion (the orphanage where Tanya is from was run by nuns), but no mention of the RC papacy, Orthodox, or the Reformation.
>No Pearl Harbor in this timeline.
It hasn't happened yet (if it ever will).
Too early, Adolf-chan would still be a grunt soldier at the time, possibly even what >>653114 said.
>but no mention of the RC papacy, Orthodox, or the Reformation.
Still just Nicene Christianity?
Could be the Roman Catholics are still the major Christians in the west. No Protestantism.
Now that I think about it, no Martin Luther would also be a good point of divergence. There would be nothing to split the HRE along religious lines and they'd present a united front to France and the Ottoman Turks.
>Doesn't WW1 have less of a stigma
Most people are too retarded to even know WW1 existed. Just look about everyone (including /a/) calling her a Nazi-loli.
Actually we mostly call her Reichloli from what I've seen.
Without Luther there' would be no singular German language though, just loads and loads of different dialects, and I doubt that would lend itself towards unification and centralization
Not necessarily. First off you could have a lingua franca between all members of the Empire. Heck you need it seeing as there's Magyar and Slav territories, as well as the Lowlands.
Also the push for a centralized language could have come latter. The biggest thing here is the lack of political disunity.
>Just look about everyone (including /a/) calling her a Nazi-loli.
Wherever you're getting that, you certainly didn't find that nickname here.
The Empire is called Reich in the original. Tanya is a loli. So, Reichloli. Simple as that.
Also found the author and LN artist's accounts through her.
"She" also didn't want to be seen publicly as a nepotist blatantly abusing her connections for personal gain. Applying signaling theory into practice, she's acting the part of a model Empire soldier to ensure she attains the comfortable and safe future she mapped for herself. Unfortunately the scenario in >>651480 is the result of her efforts, putting her in a Blackadder comedy of her own making.
Current situation does not support this opinion. There are large elements of WW1 and WW2 mixed together, but there direction taken is significantly different. It operates on three fronts:
The abandonment of Paris in WW1 is mixed with the capture of Paris in WW2.
The encirclement strategy is reminiscent of the Battle of Kiev but the scenario has born fruit elsewhere; Several characters, including MJR Loli, have unique styles and the story tries to figure out how these interact.
It's magic. I ain't gotta explain shit.
In the end, we will see large elements of WW1 and WW2 due to the unique 'map', but also radically different directions. Think of it like a Wargame or Grand Stategy and how naturally ahistoric outcomes could develop.
Nigga that thing had pretty decent armour for the time, especially after they up-armoured it with ausf. L.
WW1 trench warfare oriented tanks didn't have much armor usually, as they were made to protect from small arms fire. AT guns weren't really a thing before tanks, you see.
I'd like nothing more to see this just loop between the getting riddled with bullets and the quick cut to tanya firing, over and over
I wanna see just the riddled with bullets and the cut to tanya looped to humorous effect
When Serebryakova shot Tanya I lost my shit. A comedy character evolved into a great soldier.
Comedy? She hasn't once made me laugh in the entire season.
The first image is a random statue shown for 3 seconds.
The second one is the MC.
It would not surprise me if there is some animosity.
After looking through a bit of her picture I realize that Tanya looks not like shit.
It's jarring seeing that after watching the anime.
I will never understand why you people keep saying she looks like shit.
You're not seeing the fat niggerlips?
I guess I just don't get bothered by tiny details.
There is no such thing as overkill.
>top 10 anime loli fights
Why didn't she just shoot him in the face when her arm got grabbed?
The statue is likely a 3d asset with a filter thrown over it.
She kills people, she doesn't murder them.
Definitely confirmed, the beach scene had only dudes.
And they didn't even wear cool old bathing suits.
My guess is that she lost her composure when she saw him going Ahulla Ackbar (Being X Enhanced Edition) and wanted to get the fuck away from him as fast as possible.
He was supposed to be dead after all. Speaking of him dead, one of the not-english mages said something about recovering a part of that guy but was stopped by his superior. What was that about?
I'd fit her more as cute soldier doing cute things territory.
Clinch makes it hard to get a good angle and she would have had more luck shooting him in the foot.
Same feelings here, Adolf.
The way the sub is worded, I would think they would have like to have retrieved any surviving equipment (illegal trench gun, piece of that computational jewel, etc.), but Imperial reinforcements forced them to retreat.
>There would be nothing to split the HRE along religious lines and they'd present a united front to France and the Ottoman Turks.
If it wasn't Luther it was going to be someone else, The Church of England split from the Papacy for reasons unrelated to (if maybe inspired by) Luther and Zwingli in Switzerland developed independently of and slightly prior to Luther and it was out of his line that the larger bulk of Protestantism came out of. You also had the Hussites a century prior and the near successful full independence of Bohemia from the HRE with the establishment of a real, legal, religious plurality of Hussites and Roman Catholics through out the region. Instead of a Lutheran reformation you would have had a second generation Zwinglian a la Calvin or Knox in Scotland becoming the figurehead of a German reformed movement. The Papacy by the mid 1500's had lost almost all of it's legitimacy in north-western Europe for a variety of theological and political reasons and was under the constant threat of fracture. The main issue was Leo X and his cronies who were absolutely opposed to the notion of reform from within the church that forced everyone else's hands in dividing, Leo's successor even made comments to this during the counter-reformation, though even he was unwilling to actually deal with the heart of the issues that the reformation had raised, which just further entrenched Protestantism as the legitimate alternative to the Papal church.
Whether it would have been worse or better with or without Luther nobody can know, but Luther was staunchly anti Zwingli referring to him and his followers as the Schwarmerei - swarmers, believing them to be on the radical fringe and to be ignored if not persecuted, Luthers opposition to the Reformed camp prevented the creation of a unified Protestant church despite the best efforts of Zwingli and his closest allies due to Luther's profound celebrity causing many to take his side if for no other reason than he looked like the winning horse (which he was short term, Zwingli's legacy proved more historically important and profound). So it's entirely possible that without Luther the disunity in the empire becomes even more of an issue as the protestants are both stronger internally and internationally or it leaves Germany an island surrounded by protestant kings across the north sea, in the cantons of Switzerland and inside it's own borders as they surely would have a meaningful foothold with the Hussites in Bohemia.
Probably this. Since he had divine blessing it might've been something like the Elenium Type 95.
The weapon in her other hand was a submachine gun ill-suited for close quarters, and she doesn't appear to have a sidearm. Ever tried pointing a 24-30" gun at something that's elbow's length away from you?
I am saying to us pray for Being X. Or it will make you a loli on Italian army.
...Now I'm starting to think being x could be Madoka.
>You think that the kid being beaten up in front of the church will be of any significance?
Was metaphor about the desire of revenge from the Republic.
Agree. For some reason the chibi version made remember the "little russian Napoleon".

This crossover needs to happen.
Better generic than shit
Their showdown was a little disappointing. I guess I was expecting more of a traditional narrative where he shows up and kicks her ass in their first confrontation (maybe wiping out all her men too). Then she faces him again in the next episode and kills him (maybe also exchanging dialogue with being X, through his corpse).
The problem with this scene is that it is pretty much pointless. Nothing was lost in that battle. At first it seemed pretty ballsy and dark, that they were appearing to kill off the recognizable side characters. But then they copped out. So, that entire fight scene, after all its buildup, doesn't serve the plot in any way.
I enjoy this series, but it leaves me starving for some real story development and drama. After the first 3-4 episodes, the series basically stopped having a character narrative and just became a documentary on this fictional war, going from battle to battle and spending most of the episode discussing war tactics. That's all cool, but there is so much that could have been done with developing Tanya's character.
I agree with you on how the showdown went. I actually thought they had killed off blondy and 2-3 other side characters permenatly and was disappointed when they showed up later after the fight. I think it would have been better to have this episode end with the squad wiped out except for Tanya and MABEY Serebryakova, then in the next episode have them fighting and killing A.S. I also do like the idea of Being X talking through A.S.'s corpse after she kills him, with Being X giving her some cryptic dialog. You could have the dialog with Being X and seeing the orphan getting beat up at the church help her realize that the Republic is only regrouping and will be back to fight again with help from the other nations. Then the episode ends like this one did, with Tanya realizing that the chance for peace as slipped by.
It would be interesting to see how Tanya responds to losing troops that she may have grown attached to. Plus if this series was to have a second season, you could spend the first episode or two rebuilding the squad and introducting new charaters, but i dont think this will get a second season. However i didnt think Overlord would get a second season, so there is a possibility.
For your taste.
You're waifu lmao
>people start defending the niggerlips
It's actually happening.
I defend this from the beginning thread.
BUT THOSE LIPS LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE YOUJO SENKI ONES
Anon, Tanya lips are unrealistic by design. The Rory are truly nigger lips.
And what does any of that change about my statement?
Well if I remember correctly, the blu ray sales are pretty good.
I like how they talked about how a explosion that size would fuck you up even if the initial blast didn't kill you. But that was only when the MC did it. When this guy does it, it doesn't affect her at all.
Speaking of which why was the trench gun illegal?
The Germans considered them inhumane.
Shotguns are a great force multiplier and within most models and circumstances they are no issue. The diffusion of pellets shot within or at a trench, however, leads to an awful lot of flesh wounds. All of the force remains, but it is spread in such a way that it is not necessarily fatal.
In WW1, the Germans moved to disallow Trench Guns in accordance with anti-Warcrime policy established in Europe. America said 'fuck you' and continued to leave mangled, half-dead soldiers in its wake.
The Germans were not necessarily 'clean' in their motives, Trench Guns were devastating and valuable tools in Trench combat, and removing them was a boon. Furthermore, basically everyone was using illegal weaponry through gas and such anyway. Effective, but brutal, and they wanted Tanya's reaction to reflect that.
They weren't referring to the self-destruct, which she did on her own with a weaker jewel. What you're referring to was when she fired a supercharged shot from high altitude, which made a much larger and different type of explosion.
Someone needs to cut this with Clementine's death scene in Overlord. Her panicked voice is great.
Fresh OC from the /v/ drawthread, Tanya as an Inkling from Splatoon.
First thing I thought of when I saw that scene as well.
I really enjoy the sound "design" in the anime.
> basically everyone was using illegal weaponry through gas
Eternal reminder that the French were the first to use gas, but in their sheer incompetence used tear gas that was dispersed by the weather almost immediately
>Tanya is reincarnated into "The Republic" instead of not!Germany.
>Leads the country through an impressive series of "tactical surrenders" that save her life in the long run.
The only upside would be Tanya looking cute in a Beret.
>heated discussions over ww1 use of chemical warfare
>no mention of the Reich deploying pyros to snuff out exposed positions
Flamers torching the trenches were a thing in the Great War too.
Youjo Senki is way better than Fuuka.
>every episode is named The surrender of X
Speaking of X
>Every episode Being X tries to force Tanya not to surrender
>Has to desperately reincarnate not!Napoleon to avert the immediate collapse of The Republic under the might of her concessions
What if Tanya ends up being a God?
She's already a loli. Being God would definitely be worse.
Of course the fuck frogs, dishonorable scum they are, will flee their homeland like bitches and wait for a counterattack.

It's Aoi Yuuki's birthday!
Happy Birthday Aoi!
Don't do that. That's not okay.
Here a "light" version. For those who do not have stomach.
That's really good anon. Do you have a pixiv page?
