Also known as cute girls going to the South Pole.
Episode 1 was quite good.
They did a good job with introducing the characters, and the premise is unique.
I hope that they will have fun at the Mountains of Madness.
>You will never go to Antarctica with your friends
I hate this 3D world
Also, this was the most realistic and depressing school toilet I've ever seen
>Mountains of Madness
>with cute girls
Yep. but no cutesy abominations. Give me cute girls funny hijinks with crawling blob of meat, claws and tentacles
Looks like more generic SoL garbage. Not gonna waste my time on this one.
Well, consider me impressed. This actually looks like it might be good. Premise looks good, animation is decent and I really liked the background artwork. I wasn't expecting much from it beforehand, but I'm definitely looking forward to it now.
Hopefully they won't trigger my ´tisms when/if they get to the south pole and don't wear hats like in the OP.
Looks good so far, I really like the art style.
I acknowledge the apparent uniqueness of the setting, but it still seems like a Yama no Susume with girls who aren't as cute and a central theme that leaves me feeling like shit about my lack of accomplishments.
I'm going to keep watching at least for a couple more episodes, but I already noticed the same sort of lukewarm enjoyment of previous anime that I ended up finishing out purely out of a sense of obligation.
Why is there a pair of tongs in the bathroom?
For bullied kids to pick up their shoes when others flush them.
It's not going to be a masterpiece, but the premise is decent and the art looks good. I think I can have fun with this.
If I had to guess, for plucking out tampons carelessly discarded in the toilets so they don't clog up the drain.
I don't know, I thought it was pretty promising. Good balance of realism and schmaltz. I also wasn't expecting it to be this humorous.
The one thing I didn't like was the weird shiny plastic artstyle. I've seen it in a few other shows before recently but I really hope this isn't going to be the new overall style anime is heading towards. Main girl being Minase Inori right after watching Shoujo shuumatsu ryokou is kind of distracting too.
This gon' be good.
I'm in the "art is weird" camp. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be from the preview, but it's still kind of annoying.
Wasn't expecting much but that was not bad at all!
Background art is gorgeous and a big fetish of mine, especially the Nip scenary; Not that it matters since I imagine it will turn into vast frozen wastes at some point. Then again, I'm guessing the majority of the show might be about them getting ready to leave instead of actually questing around the South Pole.
The girls are enjoyable so far and MC is a cute baka. I also think they did a decent job at making the premise seem believable, which is nice because "highschool girls going to South Pole" sounds a little much at first.
>no mention of Grape-kun's weird cousins
Do you even tekeli-li?
And once again I wonder why I even try.
This was really nice, every girl was nice, backgrounds were great (I liked seeing the Gamecube and N64, I always like to see stupid shit like that), music was good, and it does have a Yama no Susume feel like >>776273 said, and that's a big positive to me. I like cute girls doing adventurous things.
You know how Arale threatens people with a poop on a stick? In real life, you have to use tongs.
If they don't meet a Norwegian team when they get there I'm going to be disappointed.
They will obviously find Nazis at the entrance to the hollow earth in Neuschwabenland
Okay for the first episode but I'm hoping they get to Antarctica before the midway point. Otherwise the school scenes might drag a little and like Amanchu where we had 11 episodes of getting ready for diving and one episode of actual diving.
The only two shows that I remember that had this shininess were Plastic Memories and Tsuki ga Kirei. It does look a little weird since it makes the characters pop out more from the background. For example, look at the background characters in your second picture. I am curious where it originated and why some shows use it. Is it just stylistic or is it perhaps cheaper or something like that?
And the Japanese base has to have a dog kennel.
>At the Mountains of the Thing theories.
Alright, I'll give it a try. If things don't turn dark, I'll get cute girls doing cute things with nice animation. In the unlikely case that the tone actually does change then maybe I'll experience a twist like that for once in my life before I got spoilered.
I hope it goes 100% lovecraft.
I hope one of them loses a toe to frostbite.
I'm hoping for this, but obviously it'll just be an anime about cute girls going to Antarctica.
This could be a perfect chance to tell the story of the Mountains of Madness but with anime girls.
Watched episode 2.
The backgrounds are top, and the animation remains good. And the artstyle is really growing on me.
Hinata is a top genki girl, and the running scene was beautiful.
The entire plot point about Shirase's missing mother creates an actual chance for this to go dark.
So her plan was to whore herself to get in? Why do they have to ruin shows adding PD behaviors? I'm getting sick of this shit.
I know, my fault for downloading HorribleSubs. But how can you fuck this up? It's not even a translation error. They managed to get Fremantle right, yet can't fucking spell Sydney? How stupid are those monkeys at CR?
The work put into the backgrounds is ridiculous. Even the characters in the background are animated and voiced. It's honestly bizarre considering how used to the opposite I am. And it's confirmed to be going dark. They're going to Fremantle after all.
Since the first character is pronounced shi they must have gotten the "i" from there. So they can read kana, they just don't feel like editing their subs.
I read both the カタカナ and the misspelled english name and still didn't register the typo.
The chase scene was super well done and really fun to watch, holy shit. It brought back memories; I think we all did stuff like that once. They captured it perfectly.
>tfw your youth is in motion
You know, I've had the same ominous feeling about the girl's future. When you think about it, all things are pointing to disaster since the plot revolves around Shinase looking for her mother, who disappeared in Antarctica, three years ago. I could almost imagine them stumbling across the mother's mummified corpse. Best case scenario, they never find the body and Shinase leaves beaten and broken. But I mean, it's a CGDCT show, and chances of it going dark are abysmally small, and close to impossible. They'll probably find a way to have fun, build lasting friendships and make it back safely.
Let's face it though: There's no reason for that extra "y" in there. Stupid fucking aussies.
>>tfw your youth
is was never in motion
At least I have cute 2D girls to numb the pain.
There's no reason for 'straya to exist.
>There's no reason for 'straya to exist.
But where should we put all our convicts?
>Shinase leaves beaten and broken
Or she leaves relieved after finally getting closure.
I think it is implied that, despite all the evidence on the contrary, she fully believes that her mother is still alive somewhere, eagerly awaiting to be rescued. She can't accept that her mother is dead, which is why she is obsessively preparing to go "rescue" her. I think she'd have a mental breakdown to be honest.
Unless she turns out to be an extremely grounded individual and is clearly set on finding out the fate of her mother and perhaps returning her remains home for an honorable burial. But, highschool girl, dude.
Anyway, none of that will happen because it's just cute girls doing cute arctic things r-right?
>everyone's expecting a dark turn
Is this bizarro Made in Abyss?
We don't want them.
Fish stocks are depleted, they need some feeding
It's not even summer break, and the ship doesn't pick up passengers until the end of November. I have a feeling we won't see much if any of Antarctica. I'm mostly alright with that, though. I enjoyed this episode, Hinata was charming, the chase was fun, and it looks like they'll soon pick up a quiet(?) girl to round out the group.
> I have a feeling we won't see much if any of Antarctica.
I think they are going to arrive on Antarctica by episode 5 or 6.
There aren't that many plot points left in Japan.
The 4th girl is obviously related to the new sponsor for the expedition, and will probably force the expedition
to take the girls with them.
A montage with the girls working/training for the expedition, and then we can get Antarctica.
I just hope there will be a montage of them having to snuggle up together to conserve body heat after the generator breaks down.
This show is definitely intended for a female audience, so I guess that kind of "humor" appeals to them. And the weird noses? That running scene was fucking stupid, too -- I don't know what these anons are on about, or why I even watched through the second episode.
The answer to both your questions is: It's because you're a newfaggot.
>But, highschool girl, dude.
Not an argument. There are stories where a 2D JS or JC acts more mature than a 3DPD 40 year old. Your point makes sense because her character does not seem to be the kind to do something like digging up a body and bringing it across the ocean to cremate it. She will probably find a plaque with her mothers name on it, cry her eyes out, then decide on a career where she visits Antarctica every so often. In a word closure.
Oh, yeah, posing those as (sort of) questions really makes me a newfag, you pretentious guy.
>This show is definitely intended for a female audience
This statement really makes you look like a newfaggot.
CGDCT has always been a male oriented genre.
>I guess that kind of "humor" appeals to them
No, it doesn't, this type of humor is often used in male oriented works.
The BD/DVD ranking also clearly indicates that the show is heavily favored by men.
This is more of a drama than CGDCT, and the characters are drawn like those you'd see in an anime geared for a female audience. It's not like men aren't going to watch this, but I still think what I said is more or less accurate. Just for this season in particular, compare it to Citrus -- the style and the "humor" between them are more alike than either compared to your average CGDCT. I don't know what the heck kind of CGDCT you've been watching, but really, this one has more of that grungy look and the weird noses that you shouldn't find in CGDCT.
Stop coming into threads to announce your shit taste.
Glorious taste, my friend.
The girls in many CGDCT are making weird cute noises.
> the characters are drawn like those you'd see in an anime geared for a female audience
The characters don't look close to the shoujo or josei style.
The anime popular with females are male idol anime, shounen anime with fujoshi elements (Kuroko,Haikyuu, BnHA,SnK) or shoujo/josei adaptions.
The designs are quite unique, the only anime I know with similar character designs is Tsuki ga Kirei, a male oriented romance.
>It's not like men aren't going to watch this, but I still think what I said is more or less accurate
Explain the BD/DVD ranking split, which clearly indicates that the show is strongly prefered by men.
It's not even profitable to make a female oriented original, which doesn't pander to fujos.
>this one has more of that grungy look and the weird noses that you shouldn't find in CGDCT.
Not every CGDCT is a Houbunsha adaption. Aria & Hanasaku both have CGDCT elements.
CGDCT has not even an agreed upon definition, beyond that there need to be cute girls in the anime.
>This is more of a drama than CGDCT
CGDCT always comes mixed with other genres.
SoraBasho is both a drama and a CGDCT.
>The girls in many CGDCT are making weird cute noises.
<n o s e s
I don't like 'em! Cute noises are ok, though.
...Your points are taken, I still personally can't enjoy the feel this has; I gave it a try but everything just seems a bit off. If you like it, that's fine.
>The characters don't look close to the shoujo or josei style.
Shit, you're right. As far as this one is concerned, though, the style is definitely not typical of CGDCT as I think of it, so I guess I just don't know how to describe it in specific terms. But back to the original theme of >>778995 I'm still inclined to agree.
The cute noises-as well as the animation, especially during the chase scene instantly reminded me of Hibike Euphonium. Only the girls aren't as cute and who's going to top the Kumiko SFX machine?
But I will give credit where credit is due, as HInata has the most appropriate logo on her hoodie. Those are some damn fine T.Ts.
In the US where they were originally being sent. But if they refuse to take them I guess it's Canada
That is a crying face, anon.
Yeah you're right. In fact, I've seen that level of maturity enough times by now to know better. I shouldn't have said that.
>waterboards her daughter THEN tries to wake her up
What an evil okaasan.
I like these title screens. Haven't seen something like this before.
How many more times do you think they'll slip in No Game No Life?
They're in the same magazine so it should show up a few more times.
I was expecting the listed profiles to be more active, considering they bothered to put that stuff in the show.
>Joined August 2014
What a great scene. I'm really loving this show so far.
Her boobs really need to be grabbed from behind.
The art style seems to be a weird cousin of Sakura Quest's. It also reminds me of Just Because, although I only watched the first episode of that.
>3 high school girls get a man to smuggle them on a ship for a months long journey
The doujins are writing themselves!
Is it wrong to shill /sudpol/ here?
>art style seems to be a weird cousin of Sakura Quest's
I really don't see it.
To answer your question: Yes, it is wrong. You are on /a/ to discuss anime and manga.
Not wrong, just against the ruurs.
Finished the first 2 episode a little while ago. This was so good. If the quality keep up I think it'll be my AOTS. I hope they actually reach Antarctica and it isn't just a "the journey is more important than the destination" type of story.
This show reminds me how I want to visit one of the poles in my life.
But it's probably next to impossible as a normal guy.
From what I'm seeing there are companies that offer cruises and expeditions but they cost tens of thousands for a ticket.
>But it's probably next to impossible as a normal guy.
Which is why I'm really rooting for the girls to reach it for real, just so I can do it vicariously through them. I hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment.
This is 100% not gonna happen. This is SoL: snow edition.
Preview for episode 3 was just released by Kadokawa:
It's gonna be a good one. These girls are getting cuter by the episode.
If one of the girls had Hululu's VA it would have been perfect.
>next to impossible as a normal guy.
Just buy a Hilux and put on some good tires, and you'll be at the north pole in no time.
South pole might be a bit trickier, but just give it more gas and you should get there too.
>I'm currently driving a Dacia with bald winter tires
James May would be proud.
If you had one of those amphibian cars, good ice chains, and a whole lot of food and gas, you might actually be able to make it to the South Pole if the weather cooperated.
Why would you need an amphibian car? Shit's all land once you get past the sheet ice and no amphibian car would be able to push past that shit.
This is going to be the Everest of anime pilgrimages, at least until they make an anime about high school girls climbing Everest.
I am poor and was thinking of buying one myself. Is it worth it ?
>Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay are now loli's, would you watch it?
The term is amphibious.
Amphibian is a biological class.
I think I'm going to put this one on hold and marathon it all once the last episode airs.
This show is shaping up to be one of my favorites this season.
They also just go to the tip of the Antarctic peninsula or one of the islands there.
Couldn't resist and watched the episode anyway.
Predictable but I loved it.
Same. These girls are so fun together. Individually each character is kind of average, but together they are goddamn fantastic. I don't know if it's because they're well written or just the VA's having excellent chemistry but it works great.
They really shifted into high gear as they added the last of the group, Yuru Camp is in danger for AOTS. It has some of that K-On formula, combined with really good timing and directing.
The VA's for the girls must know each other and worked together at some point, they've all worked on a ton of stuff.
>well-behaved and neat
time-to-time all the time
>voiced by Hayami Saori
Blondie is my favorite, but all are close except Shirase.
Also, this is becoming the most shadow-lewd series this season.
> the VA's having excellent chemistry
This. whenever they're bullying eachother or anything, they're always like best friends. The Seiyuu have amazing chemistry.
I wonder if she'll be doing any dramatic screaming at one point.
My favourite as well. But they're all pretty good.
Nail meet head. There are some great thigh/ass/hip shots.
Nail meet head again. These 3/4 girls are great together and make it painful to realize you aren't one of them. Only this level of camaraderie can survive the frozen hell of Antarctica.
Their camaraderie will be put to the test when they realize there's only enough supplies for 2 people and there's 4 of them.
Holy shit, the OST of this anime is godtier.
I think its becoming slowly the best series this season.
Hope more people start noticing.
>I wonder if she'll be doing any dramatic screaming at one point.
There must be, she uses the kind of voice for this role that makes her dramatic screaming enjoyable.
If not for anything else, it will be noticed because it sits at the first place among all seasonal anime that's released at proper date.
I think this wont make it to AOTS because of such memeseries like crybaby, PTE, or violet evergarden.
I find those series overhyped and rated, only posted for the memes or such.
Violet evergarden has dropped ratings slightly after the release of the first ep, Crybaby is a mixed thing, just because its OST is really good and fresh while going well with action scenes. And I think Pop Team Epic should explain itself...
Look at this fucking butt!
However if I were a betting man I'd say that blondie has the nicest butt; We just haven't glimpsed its full potential yet. I bet it's big, toned, and squishy as hell.
I agree that Yuru camp has some serious competition now. And I'm very glad because I love both of these shows so far.
If anyone wants to know more about getting a job in Antarctica, there is a documentary you can watch.
I can see it in front of me, a bunch of weebs going to Antarctica because cute 2d grills did it.
What could possibly go wrong?
I lived in a tent on sea ice in the arctic for a couple of months.
It wasn't that bad, but it was late spring and already 24 hours sunlight. It wouldn't have been tolerable in winter.
We could find the Stargate under the ice and escape this world.
Literally ded series. I don't know what shithole even talks about it.
Overrated boring crap, just more of KyoAni's adult women shilling, and it's not even doing well on the rankings anyways.
And that series is only on top because it's on sales soon, so it won't make it even to 2k disc sales at this rate.
Yeah, we need more of Blondie's butt, but it looks damn fine from what we saw.
Watched episode 3, and loved it.
It's currently my AOTS, the chemistry between the girls is top
Hinata is currently my favorite, a genki girl which isn't a retard is quite rare, and I really love her interactions with the other characters.
>Holy shit, the OST of this anime is godtier.
It is, I loved the OST from episode 1, and had high expections for the OST from the start. It's by Fujisawa Yoshiaki, who did an amazing job with Houseki no Kuni's OST.
I am really happen that Japan took a liking to SoraBasho, but I am still highly skeptical of it becoming number 1 sales wise.
It's currently competing with Yuru Camp, and SoraBasho only made it into the 100s with the 3rd episode. Many other anime are at the first or second episode, and may depending on their performance receive a large ranking boost.
There's also Fate/Extra which will very likely be the best selling anime this season, as long as Shaft doesn't drop the ball.
We either freeze to death or die in another way. Or nothing happens and we come back safely, but where's the fun in that?
Well, it was sitting gat the first place at the time, still pretty high though.
My point wasn't that it's going to be the top seller, but that it's high enough to get some attention probably.
I'm getting emotional already. In which episode is it okay to start crying?
Probably the next one.
You can start at episode 3 anon, till then it's more of a action/comedy setting.
Yet another twitter account they failed to secure.
Yuru Camp is still the better series probably, but if they are going to handle the story well in this one, it might overtake it.
Nothing else comes close this season.
It's going to be a close call between this and Yuru camp.
Let me fix everyone's terrible fuck ups:
''It's going to be a close one between this, Yuru Camp and Koi wa Ameagari no You ni this season."
KoiAme is good and all but the other two outclass it.
>Koi wa Ameagari no You ni
>adult, tall, mature girl who looks looks older than your average japanese adult, making the point of "younger girl x adult" completely void
I like Marchen Madchen. Hopefully it has a real OP this week.
Now that's just silly, everything you said just there.
It's just a different art-style. To me it is somewhat reminiscent of how they drew Sailor Moon, who was also a highschool girl.
Mitsuboshi Colors is going to be in the fight for the top spot, and they brought RPGs in episode one.
>it is somewhat reminiscent of how they drew Sailor Moon, who was also a highschool girl
It isn't, she looked much younger, (even in Crystal S1) and Usagi was in middle school.
So I could say "everything silly" right back at ya.
You can't deny the main girl of KoiAma looking very mature, that is what her character is all about.
>3,126位/2,746位 ★ (*,*61 pt) [*,1予約] 2018/03/28 【Amazon.co.jp限定】 三ツ星カラーズ Vol.1
Mitsuboshi is dead, and rightfully, it has cute girls and all, but the comedy is not especially funny, the production values already low at episode two, and it doesn't have any sales point whatsoever like fanservice.
Different anon. While the production values are certainly pretty low, I have to disagree completely on the comedy part: I think it's brilliant. It makes the show a joy to watch. And you know how it is, nips having shit taste is really not surprising anyone. At least we have the manga.
Point taken. But even so, she does slip up and constantly ends up showing sides of young, innocent foolishness when no one is looking. That's actually the best part about her.
>Hopefully it has a real OP this week.
You'd think that if they're making an OP out of actual clips from the episodes, they could at least put in the effort to not use the same scenes multiple times.
I myself enjoy Mitsuboshi, but I can understand why there are few Otaku buying it.
> nips having shit taste is really not surprising anyone
Buying 2-4 anime is the limit for most Otaku.
If I were forced to pick 4 anime this season, I would pick SoraBasho, Yuru Camp, and 2 out of Hakumei/Fate/Popteam/Franxx/Sakura/Overlord 2.
Nip taste is still far superior to the West, where Grancrest Senki, Death March and Kokkoku are more popular than Yuru Camp and Sorabasho.
>Buying 2-4 anime is the limit for most otaku.
With BD prices, four is pretty good. Still not enough though. In the first 3 episodes I would go with Mitsuboshi, YuruCamp, SlowStart, and SoraBasho. Marchen, Beatless and KoiAmi would be the highest of the "average" group. This is not including ongoing series where PriPara is the top and 3gatsu is getting better every week. I would sooner get a job with more income than be forced to decide between X anime in any season
>I would sooner get a job with more income than be forced to decide between X anime in any season
Most Otaku watch and record the TV versions, there's just a limit to the ammount of BDs they can buy.
Not to forget that many Otaku buy lots of merchandise.
Buying the BDs, manga, OSTs + merchandise for a 1 cour anime can cost you around 750$, that's not even including old stuff, and events like Comiket.
I hate it in real life but seeing those girls do their tweeting and instragramming and myspacing or whatever else kids do these days is really cute.
Preview for episode 4 is out,
Looks like they are going to to a "training camp".
Good, they should. I still don't get why no one explained what are the normal and official requirements for going with the Antarctic team. Maybe instead of some convoluted plan involving sneaking onboard they could just ...qualify.
Oh my goodness, is that more cute girls camping together that I see? Truly this season is sugoi ne.
Is Shirase dork of the season?
I'm noticing more shows have started incorporating stuff like this it only reminds me that 2D beats the 3D version every time.
Yes anon, 4 cute girls went camping together under one tent in an anime about cute girls going to Antarctica
the cute girls from the anime about cute girls going camping around mt Fuji.
>Look at picture from friend
>Put phone down and clasp hands
What did she mean by this? Also when is she checking her phone? As I thought Mari sent it as soon as she took it.
These girls are not adequately dressed for the where they were camping. They're gonna catch the dreaded Japanese cold at this rate. Like that one anon mentioned: They better wear their fucking hats.
Maybe she's going to be a surprise fifth member, but that's unlikely. She's probably just getting really excited for them and will help them out with various troubles back home like school and funding drives and such.
One of them has a hat at least. I wouldn't think that she'll join if anything she'll probably try and discourage Mari from going; she's been black-pilling her with all the articles about there being no money so it seems within her character.
Alright anons, it's time we lay our cards out:
Who is best girl and why is it Hinata? Is it her child-bearing hips? Is it her big smile? Is it her beautiful eyes?
>you will never share a sleeping bag with her
>you will never feel her firm butt press against your crotch while spooning her
Mari is pretty great too because she's prime bullying material.
Yuru camp had Rin and the baka sleep together last episode, to be fair, but this was cuter.
She maybe regrets not joining her friend when she had the chance.
Or she is concerned about her straw levitating above her juice.
Father of the year.
I agree with you anon. But I don't think she is the most beautiful character. But her personality is great.
She is the perfect balance between fun loving energetic girl, and still a reasonable person.
Also I love short girls, especially when they have that nice curvy body.
I think she's got that "kansai girl" thing going for her. Even though she's not.
>I'm noticing more shows have started incorporating stuff like
Makes sense. It's just a thing that's part of today's live.
I guess she is down about her best friend spending less time with her.
It seems odd to me though that she is looking at it, when it was taken first thing in the morning, in an empty restaurant the two have been seen to go together before.
>when it was taken first thing in the morning
She did send it much later, at one pee ehm and twenty eight minutes if you translate the time to burger.
>in an empty restaurant the two have been seen to go together before
Which is what I was referring to. I imagine they are best friends and used to spend all their time together. Must suck when your best friend suddenly grows so distant.
Ah, I missed the time thank you.
She's easily the best girl of the show. I felt that Yuru camps poka poka hotpot overall trumped this episode.
If I could edit, I'd splice in a scene from some other anime with blood running under the door and screaming.
That's the most perfect thing I've ever heard! I was just repeating it out loud like a fucking retard.
They really want me to go and see No Game No Life. Also this is probably the best convenience store I have seen, giving out tickets to their employees for shows.
Sleeper hit of the season.
Sorry, I only know how to read by the Fractale metric.
What's that in frt?
This an American board anon, use the Urara Meirochou scale, like baby Jesus would do.
This series is great, the chemistry and personalities of the girls are amazing.
I don't know about the actual numbers, but if we go by /a/ (the true and completely objective measurement of quality entertainment) it seems like it's getting plenty of attention.
Flip flappers got a lot of attention on /a/ as well but it didn't end up doing well numbers-wise with BD sales.
>the true and completely objective measurement of quality entertainment
And don't you ever fucking forget it.
We need to remember some anime are popular in the west don't sales well in Japan as happened to Keijo how to fight against Yuri on Ice to be the most popular anime of his season on CR.
It's estimated to sell about 1/2 frt going by its numbers and trends.

Episode 5 preview.
Seems like there's going to be "drama" between Kimari and her megane friend.
What are the ingredients for Antarctic ramen?
They better be on that fucking boat at the end of stage 6, I swear to god mate.
Lets hope they also get off the boat.
Here's a little bit of "service" from the last Megami magazine.
Once again single braid proves she is worst girl of every series ever. What is it about this hairstyle that is so dispositioned towards bitchiness?
Agreed. Why is she trying to crush her only friend's noble dreams? Mere jealousy. She's probably a fujoshi who loves horses too.
Well at least Mari won't have to worry about the cold with all that blubber.
Going by her figure I suspect it's brawn, not fat.
No surprise as to why. Girl's so fat you have to feed her with a bucket.
That was the weight of all her stuff. Not her weight.
Man I sincerely hope this was the last we'll see of that fucking four-eyed cunt and the bullshit drama relating to her. I have such a burning desire to see her get raped to death.
With that out of the way:
WE'RE GOING TO NANKYOKU, BOYS!
That can't be right because that would make her 31 kg( 68lbs)and that would be extremely fucked up.
She weighs more than 31kg.
She put all the stuff she wanted to take with her into the boxes and put them on the scale. It was too much so her sister helped her throw stuff away.
Oh, good catch anon! I think it would have been kinda cute if she was a secret chubster.
For some reason I don't hate megu-chan.
More like fit as fuck with all that lean mass.
I absolutely love the ED, it's 10/10 all the time.
Does anyone know where this is? Is it cuntland?
The Merlion in Singapore.
They meet the Nazis when?
I don't hate her either. She's just really insecure and not sure how to face living without someone depending on her. But aside from Kimari sending her some pictures, I don't think we'll see much more of her. Hopefully once the Antarctic trip is over both Megu and Kimari will have grown a little, it's not healthy to lean on someone or be leaned on by someone to that degree.
Seems like those Lovevraft and the Thing references people made will come true after all. Just look at this abomination.
Megu should just get hit by truck-kun.
She is such a bitch, she betrayed her best friend by spreading fake rumours about her for multiple months.
This isn't a case of being angry and saying something stupid, this is outright malicious.
This episode was the worst so far, the only highlight was Shirase getting her "revenge", and Kimari's familiy.
I also realized that Shirase is named after the icebreaker Shirase II.
Do durians taste that bad? I only heard that the smell resembles a 3 month old rotten carcass. But the taste is according to multiple sources quite good.
Nope, this is her weight.
>Seems like those Lovevraft and the Thing references
Like the thing in this picture in the top?
Why she is so mature? Is because she had the best boobs of main characters?
Why would she be standing in a cardboard box to weigh herself?
>this is her weight.
No it isn't.
You literally can see part of the boxes on top of the scale.
>Do durians taste that bad? I only heard that the smell resembles a 3 month old rotten carcass. But the taste is according to multiple sources quite good.
It's pretty hard to describe what durians smell or taste like. To me they smell more like vomit mixed with gasoline and rotting fruit. It doesn't smell that bad at first but it quickly gets extremely noxious.
I've only eaten it once and it tasted terrible and it left a really bad aftertaste. I've heard people say that it tastes better on the second try but I honestly wouldn't eat it again.
I've had icecream billed as durian-flavoured in Singapore once, but not an actual durian. The icecream was delicious.
Yeah, Megu is the filthiest slut that has graced my animu in a long time.
There can be no mercy for such a vile wretch.
>Flip flappers got a lot of attention on /a/ as well but it didn't end up doing well numbers-wise with BD sales.
SOLD EXACTLY ONE FRACTALE
It saved anime.
She elected to self study for high school and is good at it. A choice like that (probably made in middle school) is well past the maturity level of any JK. She could have a backstory where she got sick of the crap like MC's friend pulled in middle school, knew high school was going to be worse and left. Boobs are irrelevant.
I would've hated her if she stayed a bitch until the end but the fact that she came clean and tried to make amends made me forgive her.
Coming out and admitting to being a complete sociopathic cunt because she couldn't live with herself is hardly what I'd call "making amends."
Some people don't deserve a second chance. Sooner you learn that, the better off you'll be. Your forgiving nature will get you eaten by the wolves, anon.
Yes, in reality someone like her would almost certainly be a manipulative passive-aggressive bitch their whole life. However, you seem to have forgotten that even when 2D is PD in manner it's usually actually not, in the end. Ironically your pic related is proof of this.
Sometimes we forget. Because 3D is PD and 2D is love. 2D is life.
Forgive me anon for I have sinned.
I actually deleted the picture as soon as I posted it, but you have the thread open in a separate tab, you cheeky bastard.

Preview for episode 6 is out, for some reason they are in Singapore.
They are going to face a real durian, poor girls.
Look at this cute genki midget! Look at that cute yellow dildo!
>for some reason they are in Singapore
They're really dragging this out. At least we'll hopefully be in Australia after this for the beach episode. And then actually get on the fucking boat.
You can see Mari just staring at it in horror.
>They're really dragging this out.
I assume snowland will have the majority of action, drama and flashbacks so more than 4 episodes of it would mess up the overall mood.
Hot damn, this ranks pretty high on the list of smiles worth protecting.
Today we got some grade-A horror and some durians.
I fucking love her voice.
What would you do if the two showed up with their arms outstretched and started yelling "DISCOUNT PREEEZE?"
I'd ask Yuzuki in a polite manner to save me from these beasts.
Hinata was always cute, but this face is heart-melting.
They're in Singapore because there isn't a direct flight. They'll be in Australia next episode. Hopefully they'll cram the beach into that episode instead of dedicating all of episode 8 to it.
I was laughing so hard at how the passport thing ended, that was legitimately hilarious. I've also fully developed a crush on Hinata at this point; She must also be protected.
I think the pacing of this show is brilliant. Sixth episode was perfect for them to start their adventure. This was exactly what I was hoping for. It's great because it isn't a show about cute girls in Antarctica and it isn't a show about cute girls trying to go to Antarctica; It's BOTH! I'm of the opinion that it's going to get even better from now on and the finale might be something special.
That sky pool looks pretty fucking cool also.
According to this guy I know who lived in Japan, Singapore is clean and an all-around great place. Even cleaner than Nippon, if you can believe that.
That's because the good people at Singapore are just a few steps away from telling the police to gently drag anyone who doesn't dispose of trash properly into a soundproof basement and shoot them with a suppressed pistol. Their laws regarding such matters are incredibly strict. You can't even kiss on the streets.
>I was laughing so hard at how the passport thing ended, that was legitimately hilarious.
It was. I really didn't see that resolution coming but it ended in the funniest and most fitting way.
I'd prefer they focus on the arctic onsen, to be honest. Arctic onsen and goggle tanlines, yeah.
If it works, it works. Good for them. I wish my shithole country did the same.
I thought this was going to be the last we heard about the hyaku man en but I guess not. Now I'm wondering it it really will even serve any purpose in this show or if it'll just go into Shirase's savings when they get back home.
On an unrelated note, I fucking love this show's ED. Those bowing penguins are just perfect. It's cute and emotional.
>I'm wondering it it really will even serve any purpose
Shirase will use it to fly her mother's body home for burial.
I think they'll just use the UFO.
They'll use the money to buy anime figs, and they will use the anime figs to bribe the Flugkapitän of the UFO.
Anyone tried them?
We got a bit of her background, new hairstyle, and that face. Shes adorable in a lifelong-friend way.
>Anyone tried them?
That should be expensive here.
Midget Genki are the best girls. I want to replace that "dildo".
>I'm of the opinion that it's going to get even better from now on and the finale might be something special.
I hope we get a season two. Next time we go to north.
It was actually a little frightening how close to a manipulative 3DPD Megu was, seriously that episode brought back some bad memories. I'm hoping she'll redeem herself later on.
She will redeem herself by being thousands of kilometers away from our girls and not showing up again, yeah.
Horrible 3d behavior won't be forgiven.
I thought you liked midgets, not giantesses.
Shirase spending that much yen on her friend was touching and a nice way to show that she does care a lot for the blonde midget.
Team Black or Team Brown, /a/?
Keep in mind, Team Black does include Tamaki's treacherous whore of a best friend.
Though this time I love all girls, even that bitch.
I guess I have to say black, although the colours are kind of strange. Hinata's hair is somewhere between blonde and orange, and Yuzuki's seem to be greyish-brown. Honestly, I have to believe that Shirase is the only one who doesn't paint her hair.
Team black wins out thanks to the seiyuus.
2D girls don't dye their hair you sick fuck, they are pure! Even the blue and pink haired ones are natural.
>2D girls don't dye their hair
Gyaru exist in 2D.
Loving this show. Not excellent but overall pretty damn great.
Yuzuki's greyish hair and perfect voice really do it for me.
All of you anons are going to feel bad about megu-chan when she turns over a new leaf and becomes the greatest friend to Tamaki she can be.
But isn't Tamaki's hair more brown? Either way Team Black wins. Shirase a best.
All she needs to do is cut off the source of evil. She'd look cuter without the braid as well.
I'm curious to what they're going to be doing with those masks on.
WITH NO SURVIVORS.
Remember when we thought this was going to be an anime about cute girls in Antarctica?
Are you somehow implying that ominous shots like this isn't supposed to throw us off.
Shirase is too self-conscious. They should use Kimari as a prop behind the camera and just have her read the card as if she were talking to her.
I think we have to get at least two Antarctica episodes. One arriving and one for pengins and closure about Shirase's mother. I'll be disappointed if it's just two though, because that means a lot of time on the boat.
We're 7/13 now. I doubt we'll get more than two episodes on the boat so that leaves us with at least four at Antarctica.
It's not like the rest of the episode isn't great, but these episodic climaxes are superb. Barring kusomegane's episode, they never failed to get you in the right mood along with the characters.
There's probably going to be a two-part episode where one of them is going to get lost in the arctic or they are going to take a swim in chilling water and fight hypothermia.
It was okay. But I'm salty that we didn't get to see more of Australia. Fucking Singapore got an entire tourism ad of an episode but Fremantle barely gets two scenes. I just wanted some engrish and beaches. I wish they showed off more of the ship too, but I guess that's coming.
Shit, they'd really be lost then.
>I'm salty that we didn't get to see more of Australia
They only went to Perth. It sucks there.
>Australia getting any sort of respect in anime
You can't just recklessly break traditions like that.
It's not that peculiar.
You should watch Free!.
I just noticed that Shirase had problems jumping because she's wearing a miniskirt, while Yuzuki has one that's past her knees. You know, on top of being too self-conscious about being filmed.
>they aren't not legal
She could choose a better clothes to record the video. I think she want to show his legs on Internet/Twitter.
Hinata looks like a cute seal in that shot.
>they aren't not legal
Hah, jokes on them Antarctica falls under maritime law.
I see two cut seal in that shot if you know what I mean.
Did this thread reach the bump limit? If so please start a new one once next episode airs.
Yeah it's still on page 3 after my post.
For the people interested about how SoraBasho is doing in Japan.
SoraBasho had a big sales ranking incerease after episode 7.
Current Stalker final estimates put volume 1 at 5098, but the current calculation doesn't fully factor in the bump.
In my opinion there's a decent chance that volume 1 will sell between 7000-8000 copies, and even 10k are possible when Antarctica is good.
Last episode felt different, maybe we'll get our zetsubou after all. Cute dorky girls going to Antarctica would also be okay
Although I'm still hoping for Mountains of Madness.
If she's not a slut, she could just use her free hand to keep her skirt from flipping. Of course, that would require her to not be stiff as a board.
