ITT we bless each other and curse another:

Anons post what powers they want and next anon tells them their weakness and states a superpower for themselves. Rinse, and repeat.

I would like the ability to run extremely fast.

 No.207

that's a fucking forum game

Humans can already run up to around 60mph. For us to do this, we'd pressure our bodies so much that our lungs will explode and we'd suffer from internal bleeding as well as broken legs. We'd then die. In other words you'd die after you ran once.

I'd like to stop time.

>internal explosion and broken legs

fucking brutal.

>stop time

Ok, so while you're able to stop time, you're unable to return to the timeline you came from. At every moment you stop time, you shift into another possible reality. Every attempt at changing time for you creates a subtly different reality.

I'd like to breathe under water.

Fuck yeah it is brutal. People are actually trying to make it possible though with exoskeletons etc. (Might be 40mph not 60)

And that time shit is deep.

Breathin gunderwater would be nice but you'd have to take into consideration you're still susceptible to pressure and the cold. Say you were to go into the ocean, you could explore too deep and get crushed by the sheer force of gravity or you could freeze to death. Or get eaten by a fucking shark. You could also get tied up and thrown in a lake and have your feet put into concrete slabs and you'd be underwater until you die of dehydration. Sad, cold and alone.

Yeah, it looks like we've have a lot of crazy things in store for us as a species in the future. On one hand, it's absolutely fascinating what we're achieving; if this technology becomes in any way available in a cheaper format, with relevant tech data, we could be hitting flying cars and possibly even colonize other planets.

>susceptible to pressure and cold

What a nightmare. Able to survive, if only for a moment, while Cthulhu drags you unto the deep unknowns.

I'd like to move things with my mind.

You're limited by your mind's understanding of physical weight limits, so if you can't pick something up with your hands, your mind won't let you pick that something up at all.

Exosuits are fucking cool though. I want to get a knee prosthetic from Cyberdyne.

I want to be able to know how to use any skill or item put to me: Give me a gun, I'll be an ace shot. Give me a plane and I'll know how to pilot it. Give me a chef knife and I'll be able to make a killer meal. Sort of like Matrix downloads, I suppose. I tried finding what it's called, but the closest I got was Hypercompetence, which is sort off the same I suppose

Oh, man, what a twist. Tiredness and adrenaline would be an interesting mix.

>Matrix installation of memory reflexes by touch

I've always thought that would be badass. A world with genetic modification brings a lot of possibilities on the table.

Ok, so although you can acquire virtually any skill you desire, you are inevitably limited by how data exists in your head. Over time, as you encounter new objects and concepts, memories will be lost as the storage is constantly forced to reorganize.

I'd like to be able to build any object I imagined. So if I visualize a floating computer, I can build a flying device to its exact specifics.
