How long have you been crushing on her? I can say that holding hands isnt reaaaally a big deal, but it feels like a bigger deal if you actually have a crush on someone.

Yes, if she didnt feel anything from it, she probably isnt crushing on you right now. BUT, what is probably more likely is you brought it up and she is just nervous and didnt want to say anything right now.

As difficult as it may be, just try to put it out of your mind for now and keep working towards your goal. If she keeps initiating it though, there is your sign.

actually, holding hands for longer periods of time IS a big deal. it is for kids, it is for adults, and it is for teenagers, too. What kind of holding hands was it? did you sense that it became awkward for her after some time? how long did you actually hold hands? Where you talking? what was the situation? What i can imagine is that she realized the weightiness of the situation, and got scared by that, and now she tries to dam up her feelings.
