So is this the place where I come to find a programmer who's serious about making some indie games?

I'm a designer, artist, writer and do a bit of sound design.

Generally, no. If you have nothing to show that you actually have skills in whatever you have to offer, and you can't show that you can make anything other than ideas, no one's going to offer their programming skills to you. And certainly not for free.

Nice trips and all, but being an artist precludes being an idea guy by definition.

As for OPs question, there are varying degrees of seriousness here. Finding people for new projects can be a little hard though, since everyone is already working on their own projects. Couldn't hurt to tell us what you have in mind though.

If you want anyone to work with you, you have to prove yourself working alone first. Time is precious, no one is going to waste theirs working with someone that is (statistically speaking) overwhelmingly likely to either flake out halfway through, or be an assclown ideaguy that can't do anything but wants to be in control anyway.

I know, it's tough having to do everything yourself and being limited by the skill you're worst at. That's why you need to be creative and find projects that you can learn from and use to prove yourself to others, that don't require you to use that skill. For you, that might mean drawing a bunch of concept art, assets, and mockups, making some maps, mods, or "romhacks" for existing games, or contributing art to an open source project. For a programmer, it might mean making an ASCII game or one based off of free art assets, or recreating a famous game or engine from scratch.

I'm actually looking for a project to get it, programmer here

0558f9 No.17002

I'm a programmer/designer, and I'm always happy to make a connection with an artist. I can't say I have a project lined up to work with you on. But I'm happy to check out what you got, and if there's a project in the future I think your style might be a good fit for, we can discuss it and hash some ideas out. I would be particularly interested if you were an animator...

Great idea, man!

Several months have passed so I'm sure OP has something to show by now.
