Hey /agdg/, if you could create a game engine without any limitation, what features would it have?
Here's my idea.
>High customization.
>Ability to render "particles" like sand as entities and not particles.
>Ability to render entire complex planets like Earth.
>Includes software like a DAW for soundtrack creation and a raster based image program for textures, along with a 3D modeler.
>Things are easier to make but you can make them differently depending on if you're used to doing things the hard way.
>Drag and drop
>Movie quality flame, fluid, cloth, and etc. dynamics and interaction with them.
>Beautiful visual and workflow
>Attempts to fix programming errors for you instead of simply telling you that you forgot a semicolon. (Toggleable)
>Despite being high end, runs on low-tech comps.
>Poorly optimized for consoles.
And I'm merely thinking from a "nodev who wants to make 3D games" standpoint, but I want input from actual gamedevs so I could make this a better concept to work with. You know?
