My game released on Steam a week ago. So far only had 5 reviews.

Anybody know how I can bulk out the positive reviews? Any secret steam groups out there that will trade a key for a review?

6c4a7c No.22465

Solicit streamers and email games news sites with a review copy of your game in the form of a steam key. I'd say offer incentives for anyone who writes a detailed review, but that isn't everyone's cup of tea, and I'm not sure if that's even allowed by steam rules so make sure you check into that before considering it.

Reviews aren't as important as getting people to talk about your game, so consider giving out keys as promotional items on places like Reddit and image boards. Reserve a quota. Do it as part of an AMA or some other way to get people to start talking instead of just throwing shit at people with their hands out

How about you make a good game instead of act like a filthy money grabbing jew

What is your game, OP?

I wonder if you'd get in trouble asking for negative reviews.

My money's on Erwin's Timewarp. It's the only game I see that's been released exactly one week ago with 5 reviews. The other is TankZone Battle, but considering this is /agdg/ it's probably Erwin's Timewarp.

That being said, presentation is important. It looks like a spin-off of Bad Rats. It looks boring and uninteresting. It doesn't look like something someone would want to spend ten dollars on when they can buy better looking and more interesting games for the same price.

It's as simple as making a very good game. What is your game?

Best way to do it : put it in a bunde. Get in contact with bundle people like IndieRoyale or whatever. I got a bunch of reviews by doing this.
