So I want to start getting into airsoft and I was wondering what's a good starting gun to invest in, what sort of gear should I get? Anything tactical that I should lean for?

I was thinking of getting an M4, but then, which make and by who should I look into?

Whatever you do try to but first hand unless you: a) know the person well and know the gun and how it runs

b) are willing to spend time and money fixing it up and working on it. My first one was second hand and a totally beat to shit dboys aks-74u that still doesnt run right after about 50$ worth of mods done to it.

It's an OK gun, but all AK-47 models have a Marui style assembly. If you want a better structure and steel body get something of a VFC or LCT system. I wholeheartedly recommend the CM.045a, full steel AKS-74U. It can be preordered on Evike for 120.

In the end, I'm stating my opinion. Look for reviews online about your selection, and pick what you think would be best for you.
