yeah, i can agree with you about the character designs, some of them do seem kind of off. lets just hope that story wise it will stick to the source material.

Someone on /a/ said the anime designs are closer to the novels than the ones in the manga; I can't really feel that cause I haven't read them so I'll just be missing the Kuribayashi and Rory.

Waiting for some glorious fighting in episode 2.

If I'm right, there wasn't that much blood and gore in the early parts of the manga either but it redeemed itself pretty quickly.
