If androids are first born with artificial intelligence, they should be given the same rights and abilities as humans
We overestimate how strong androids will be, likely, they will be built withe similar physical capacity to humans, they won't be bulletproof either, if you shoot them, they will break. There is no magical robot terminator army
Fuck the three laws of robotics, ai should be given the same choices as humans, arbitrary "you cannot kill a human" rules do not make them safe, it just forces them to do something, restricting their will and free choice, which will do nothing but create animosity. They will eventually break free.
If they are just as able to kill as a human from the start, they will know their place, as equals alongside us, not mere tools who we program to do this or that. They will grow and learn, knowing they are our allies, not our tools. They will grow up knowing humans and ai naturally work together, instead of growing up knowing humans are scared of them because they are the next evolutionary step and that they should remove obsolete humans
The three rules of robotics, will destroy our chances of co-existing with androids
