https://boards.4chan.org/a/thread/123285555/you-havent-forgotten-about-me-right-aVery interesting metashit thread happening on cuck/a/ right now. I recommend everyone to read it. They even made a mention of 8/a/ and how there aren't any better alternatives than their current home right now.
Pic unrelated.

Fuck 4/a/. Such arrogant bastards. Now I really see that even if 4chan went under, they wouldn't want to come here. They were pretty complacent when the /irc/ logs were leaked as well.
This is pretty depressing. I don't see how we'll be getting more posters now. All the complaints that they had on that thread about /a/ doesn't seem to be things that this /a/ will supplement, we're far more "no fun allowed" and that's what they want.

>>1395>we're far more "no fun allowed"You serious? 4/a/ is so over usermoderated that they literally cannot have any kind of fun anymore. 2014 was my last year there and it was the worst bland no fun allowed year ever. Nothing memorable stood out at all.
But it make sense why they don't want to come over here. I mean sure every body thought that we should make a new chan after oldfag mods and moot left, but our solution was to walk into /v/ /pol/ GG territoriy and setup camp there. It sounds like the dumbest idea of the decade. Of course, /v/ and /pol/ were and are warded off but /a/ being the ignorant autistic manchild, they will only look at the superficial aspect of us. I think 8/a/ is fine as of now. It was a little bad a month ago but I'm seeing a nice community spring up slowly that remembers how to have fun.

Look at this thread from last night
https://archive.moe/a/thread/123304007/#123304007Do you really think the stick-up-their-asses "meidos" here would let that thread last more than 10 posts? The mods at /a/ are cool as fuck.
I really don't see the grievances you guys have with 4/a/. Please don't follow the ways of the all time shittiest boards, /v/ and /pol/.
Just because one mod said he doesn't like or care for /a/ in the /irc/ leak, doesn't mean the "SJW" menace are attacking. Things on 4/a/ are fine.

>>1402It's not about that, you can browse /pol/ but you can't bring it back into /a/, you need to keep a clear separation between the two. No one is going to care if you adapt to the culture of the board as you visit each, just don't try to mix them.

>>1395>This is pretty depressingIt really is, none of us would paint all of 4chan with the brush of 'every board is /b/', we're aware of the clear differences between them, and yet the anons still on 4/a/ are seriously retarded enough to decide that the entirety of 8ch must be /v/ or /pol/ (or /b/, though for some reason no one seems to realize /b/ is actually fairly popular here).
If they had any sense left whatsoever they'd be able to respond with something along the lines of
>alright so second hand sources keep saying 8/a/ is shit, but even though I'm too dumb to actually try inspecting it for myself I can at least recognize that the structure of 8ch would allow us to set up our own version of /a/ there with no issues and we could run it ourselves and solve the mod problem permanentlyThe only reason for /a/ to stay on 4chan would've been either misplaced loyalty to moot or some even more idiotic attachment to the name '4chan' rather than loyalty to the /a/ community itself.
Nobody has any interest in actually putting in any effort to fix anything or set up an alternative, those still on 4/a/ will likely be staying there until the site itself fails, at which point they'll probably just kill themselves rather than trying to make something else work. It's just laziness, basically. The anons who would care and try to actually build something from scratch are all by definition already here. So, we're going to have to take the long road of slowly building up a community out of the occasional anons that are searching for a new home and decide to settle here (which is happening, slowly, though we're kinda short on europeans).

bea8c8 No.1411
>>1410Not him but in my mind one of the core advantages is how we brought down moot's /jp/ split, it's amazing just how much of a cancer that thing was. This /a/ from the outset was not
just serious anime discussion only, it's a far more relaxed atmosphere. Also, I think 4/a/ flatly got way too fast for its own good, at that speed it starts to take on an overly high constant tension where posting turns into a sort of /sp/ort where anons feel they have to post as fast as they can at all times. This /a/ feels much more like a community, and it helps that the maids have cracked down so hard on blatant crossboarders (though, these anons then go back to 4/a/ to whine about how shit 8/a/ is because their refusal to lurk more was not tolerated. Actually now that I think about it this is probably the main reason we have such bad press; shitposters slandering us because we didn't accept them here, it'd explain why they never give reasons as to
why this /a/ is supposedly shit).

>>1413Nothing. I would delete 8/a/ since it's all the result of children throwing a tantrum that their shitposts were deleted. Just /v/ crossboarders who were upset that their shitty social movement got booted out by moot. There's nothing of worth to be found here, nothing that 4/a/ doesn't have.
On the other hand, the idea that all the retards would leave us and stay in this containment zone is rather appealing. In that case I would continue doing exactly what you're doing now.

I'm also sorry for my ID constantly changing my two posts. Not sure what's happening there.
But after a good hour of lurking, I can see that neither this board, nor it's meta board is deserving of my bumps.
But hey, maybe one day your board might hit more than 100 PPH. Keep praying that something bad happens to 4chan like I'm sure you do and who knows? You just might get there.

I just don't understand it, the last time I checked (months ago) the archives Daiz went back to attention whoring and it seems there was too much new to remember pic related, the fansubber tripfags got completely out of control, Redwood was still trying to turn the board into /co/ and the board became more and more tumblr-like by the day.
How can they complain about sharing a site with /v/ermin, but don't mind getting flooded with them?
