It's borderline, in my opinion, it is bait but sometimes bait is good for discussion. I think what people need to keep in mind is 4/a/ is much more transient where bait threads will wash away after an hour, while 8/a/ is slower although it is getting better. One thread like that is harmless, but do you want a lot of threads like that clogging the front page? It's a tradeoff.
