Let's go through all of >>>/a/ 's rules and see how fucking faggy and pathetic they are, shall we?

>1. Global rules apply.

No shit, you fucking faggots. That's why they're global rules.

>2. No shitposting and no spamming.

>2a. I trust the users to understand what shitposting is. I cannot begin to teach you board etiquette, so if you have any doubts, I suggest you lurk more and familiarize yourself with it.
>2b. Spamming isn't up for debate.

No shitposting. What the fuck do you mean by shitposting? This is so open ended that it can literally cover any fucking possible base.

>3. No recommendation threads. That said, there is a >>>/rec/ board, and I encourage everyone to use it, and to search for the /a/ wiki to get you started. Some of the charts there are out of date, and I encourage older anons to help update them

>3a. Source and other requests should also be made on >>>/rec/

"Please don't post anything that might lead to a meaningful discussion here. We just want endless meaningless waifu threads."

>4. Porn and lewd have to be spoilered. For a straight definition, if it shows nipples or vagina, spoiler it. Nobody is going to get banned over this. If the maids notice something that should be spoilered and isn't, they'll do it themselves.

Hey, whatever, who gives a fuck? I don't get why this is a rule if it's never even ruled.

>5. No 3D porn of any kind.

Whatever. Pretty moronic and specific rule, but it's fair enough.

>6. Furthermore, /a/ maintains a strict 2D/3D barrier, especially when it comes to lolicon/shotacon material.

Covered in the global rules you monkeyfucks.

>7. /jp/ is allowed.

That's great. This isn't really a rule, niggers.

>8. Meta content should be posted on >>>/ameta/

Probably the most faggy rule of them all. This is halfchan tier shit right here.

"We don't want the userbase seeing how much we're actually fucking hated, please post in a trafficless board so they don't know we're massive faggots who came from /v/ and stole this board from actual fans."

>9. Tangentially related /pol/ content/images should be posted on >>>/weebpol/

Weird and specific, but again who gives a fuck?

>10. Name/avatar/tripfagging without a reason should be avoided.

"Dyurr, let's make a rule out of something that's simple futaba etiquette because we're inbred cunts who've never been on a futaba board before."

>11. Posts should in general use correct capitalization and grammar, this isn't IM.

You know what this rule says to me?

It says, "I'm a man who dresses his hand as a monkey and fucks it pretending it's a monkey because all I have in life is managing /a/ on fullchan."

>12. Board is 18+. Keep that in mind

Board is 18+ but porn is censored. What the fuck is wrong with you retards?

Seriously, >>>/a/ on 8chan is kill because of these faggot moderators.

P.S. I'm fucked off because a discussion thread about Plastic Memories got deleted by these mod cunts, there was literally nothing wrong with the thread and these fucking faggots deleted it.

a0a0ee No.1799

Post an archive of the deleted thread nigger.

You mean the one OP himself deleted after he realized he created a thread instead of a reply? It took him three tries to make his post, but eventually he got it right. The archive doesn't have him as OP for some reason.

Ok

Anything detrimental to the quality of the board

>3. No recommendation threads. That said, there is a >>>/rec/ board, and I encourage everyone to use it, and to search for the /a/ wiki to get you started. Some of the charts there are out of date, and I encourage older anons to help update them

>"Please don't post anything that might lead to a meaningful discussion here. We just want endless meaningless waifu threads."

Come on now anon. Allowing rec threads isn't a good idea and if you've been on /a/ for more than a year, you know it.

It's a weird rule

Glad you agree

>6. Furthermore, /a/ maintains a strict 2D/3D barrier, especially when it comes to lolicon/shotacon material.

>Covered in the global rules you monkeyfucks.

Ok

>7. /jp/ is allowed.

>That's great. This isn't really a rule, niggers.

No, it's not, but if there are anons coming from 4/a/ who want to check the board out, it's good for them to know that /jp/ content is allowed

If it was like any of the other meta boards where the moderation doesn't check it out their meta board and keep it as a containment board, I agree. I find that moderation here are very active on /ameta/.

>9. Tangentially related /pol/ content/images should be posted on >>>/weebpol/

>Weird and specific, but again who gives a fuck?

There was a situation with a /pol/ack a couple months ago that caused this rule, but that's all resolved now.

>10. Name/avatar/tripfagging without a reason should be avoided.

"Dyurr, let's make a rule out of something that's simple futaba etiquette because we're inbred cunts who've never been on a futaba board before."

All right

You know what this rule says to me?

It says, "I'm a man who dresses his hand as a monkey and fucks it pretending it's a monkey because all I have in life is managing /a/ on fullchan."

People have bad experiences with idiot posters coming in treating /a/ like it's a Gaia thread

>12. Board is 18+. Keep that in mind

>Board is 18+ but porn is censored. What the fuck is wrong with you retards?

It's just common courtesy. Again you won't get banned if you don't spoiler it.

You know you can make your own anime board, right?

Also, let's see the archive of the thread, I don't believe you.

64a212 No.1804

I'm for removing 1 (it's self evident), 9 (not really a problem anymore) and 11 (already covered under 2 in my opinion).

What the hell is happening? Are the IRC log assburgers coming dangerously close to reading a certain log?

44303d No.1806

I go to /ameta/ practically everyday and there's no reason you can't too. It's interesting to discuss meta issues, whether pro or anti, but /a/ is pretty slow so if you allowed that on the main board it would drown out actual anime discussion. Nobody wants that.

The only rule that remotely bothers me is 9, since it feeds into the /pol/ invading myth.

If you're going to ban people for not upholding your idea of quality, you shouldn't be surprised if those people go to a different board.

>>2066

You really think rec threads and spellin like dis is k?

I mean you have some decent points and I guess you might want to increase traffic and post count by encouraging blogging or whatever. But still, I would rather have a slow, quality board then a fast one filled with

>what do you drink while watching anime??

>DAE smoke weed and watch anime??

>How old are you guys??

>Other boring facebook tier shit

8bdfe4 No.2142

>>2138

What are your thoughts on this thread?

>>>/a/211049

83366e No.2146

>>2138

You're the boring facebook-tier poster if you can't take threads/concepts and use them as springboards to have an entertaining discussion or make entertaining edits. You don't even have the decency to ignore a thread if it does nothing for you. All you can do is cry about what other people are posting anonymously online.

Rec threads haven't ruined any board on 8ch and they're not about to start (intentional spam of rec threads would wreck thin skinned posters, though). People who type like faggots should be called faggots, or ignored, but sometimes a person makes typos, sometimes punctuation isn't a big deal, and sometimes a point is valid and you're only deflecting by calling out their grammar. There could be other reasons to post with poor grammar that could result in great threads, and when such a situation comes up you're limiting yourself with a no fun rule.

I'll take slow quality over fast garbage, but my quality is your garbage and my garbage is your quality, so we'll never coexist on the same board.

44303d No.2149

>>2146

I was always of the opinion that 8ch is slow and there is no harm done by allowing rec threads to be posted as long as they are not pure vapid "Recommend me anime" threads, where the OP did no work. Threads that are blogs like >>2142 are more problematic to the board culture, but I posted in that thread a few weeks ago and it doesn't bother me that much either. I'm just thinking rec threads on /a/ weren't flat out banned until a few years ago when they got out of hand and on much smaller IB's they are perfectly fine (very small IB's, more communal) anyway that said banning rec threads in any context is always acceptable. There is a thread about mecha that is kinda-sorta a rec thread that has been up for a few days and is still up, the OP is "Has there been any not shitty mecha shows lately" or something like that, that IMO is a just fine distinction to make.

44303d No.2150

>>2149

Also rec threads here were banned early on and I never argued against that, just to be clear I don't think they're bad on slow boards but they're not inherently ghood.

dee0ea No.2155

The rules are straight retarded. Not even disagreeing with them, they just look like they were written by some dumb shit with short term memory problems.

64a212 No.2159

>>2155

I'm for a rewrite of the rules solely for the purpose of having them composed in one voice without the odd phrasing and other junk in there now.

43d79a No.2162

remember maids, never bargain with terrorists shitposters. the rules are find because they keep cancer out and seeing these complaints is only proof that they work. if any of these anons really gave a shit they would go make their own anime board and post on it and if it was better, it would be popular. no one is forcing them to post on /a/ and if they love funposting, /v/ is in the top bar

83366e No.2165

>>2162

>if it was better, it would be popular

Reddit has been more popular than 4chan for years. Thin skinned normies will always outnumber traditional chan users. You will always win in a popularity contest, driving out the original culture so you can repeat stale shit all day and pretend to be elite.

But whenever you decide to leave your massive containment boards you will be reminded: you are an uncreative faggot.

01822a No.2166

>>2165

And facebook is miles more popular than Reddit.

Are you implying that we are like facebook? You are in an already unpopular site chance, brosef. Chances are that if you can't deal with the most popular in the most obscure you are liking the popular in the popular. Do we really need another /b/? Another /int/?

Absolutely fucking retarded, if the main boards in any chan now and in the past outside their respective /b/'s were thematical /b/'s you'd have a point. But the fact is that chans always had rules and their communities still flourished. There is no "no-rule" tradition outside /b/. Who the fuck are traditional chan users? Oldfags? Who the fuck cares, Oldfags were obnoxious goons.

Fuck off /int/.

They move into your board. They take control of the moderation. They slowly steer things to be more like the places they came from. They shift the culture. For the time being though support free boards and feed them with content, lurking won't do it anymore. You know what you doing.
