If there is going to be changes to R/a/dio thread rules (or rather it's exceptions to them) they need to be clearly explained beforehand. Just deleting posts or banning people for the same shit they've been doing for a dozen threads without explaining why just upsets people.
And really, what are the changes and how are they going to be enforced? Daki can't namefag? Can he still do his thing if he doesn't fill out the namefield? Are we going to just ban our avatar fags if they ever post a single image of them again? I'd just like some clarity as to whats going on.

Part of the problem is, like you said, miscommunication. Rule #10 says that namefagging is "to be avoided" if there is no purpose to it. However, he was arguably the only namefag with a purpose.

Anons spoke to one another, requested songs, received dakis, and enjoyed themselves. Then some other anons (present company included?) looked back into the abyss and remembered some of the core aspects of 4chan/8chan culture, and proceeded to attack something simply because it was nice.
The more pure something is, the more fun it is to corrupt. It's always been that way, and I won't pretend that I've skipped out on having some fun in that manner. The difference is that when I did it, anons back on halfchan were legitimately asking for it. These anons did nothing of the sort.
The only thing that really amuses me is how Sanaefag, the very same person who kept egging Nerofag on to avatarfag and post his waifu, immediately came here and furiously fellated modcock for whatever reason. The only thing better than a shitstorm is a hypocritical one, maybe with a little samefag sprinkled on top.
Bottom line? Someone just had to go out of their way to ruin harmless fun with their very own brand, which would be admirable if it weren't so fucking depressing.

There is a very fine line between fun and circlejerking. There is the reason why it is so fun to post "Feel so good" images or have everyone say "I'm such a higurashi fan". We can't just BAN circlejerking. Culture is impossible without repetition.
There needs to be a very carefully written rule to address this balance. Rule #10 does not cut it. We still have the ability to regurgitate the same song memes every Friday or Saturday. No rule right now touches this subject, circlejerking.
Circlejerking is like masturbating. It's fun in moderation and even better in hight repetition but you eventually reach a point that leaves you tired with a headache. A state of endless refractory period.

This is not up to /am/ to decide, nor is it up to our meidos, or even any single person within r/a/dio.
Each individual DJ makes their threads wherever they want to make them. Claud makes them on 8/a/ because he wants to make them there. Same for Chizu. Eku sticks with Meguca because that's where he wants to stay.
If you want to say r/a/dio isn't allowed that's fine, but don't expect the DJs to move to /am/ because "that's where they belong". That's not how this works. Saturdays went without a thread for over a year.

To be brutally honest, DakiAnon was banned justly but the reasoning was not communicated. Here he is blatantly inciting excitement and asking for replies. At that moment, he isn't even giving people dakis, merely provoking others. The only logical reply to this is "WOW OMG DAKI YOU ARE TEH COOLEST".
