Ahayweh, and welcome to the /a/ meta containment and demoralization facility /ameta/!

If you are here to complain about a ban, please remember to include an archive link/screencap of the thread in question. Thank you!

8/a/ has really fucking zero consistency when it comes to moderation. The more I browse your board the less I understand it. Mods allow all of the garbage I linked yet ban people for not using perfect grammar and for having different opinions like: >>2375

What the fuck is wrong with you, really? Do your mods have brain damage?

Some thread complaining about 'moeshit' anime having no nose.

Anyway, I found another shitty one: >>>/a/241943

It really doesn't make sense to ban people for having different opinions and not using perfect grammar yet allow stuff like this at the same time. 8/a/ mods are mentally impaired.

I still think the problem is with the userbase rather than moderation, though I do understand where you're coming from.

So what do you think the mods and some of the userbase who like to delude themselves should do in that in case? Listen to Kafuka-chan's advice maybe?

Mod-kun interpreted my criticisms here wrongly it seems. It looks like he didn't watch SZS.

I guess that makes sense. If mods decide that streaming is too plebby for /a/, they should follow up and ban everyone that calls moe the cancer killing anime and related shit.

But this goes back to the point. Why the hell are opinions bannable? We got nazis with ban hammers on our hands.

You should embrace the darkness, anon, not run away from it. The problem is with the core userbase of the board as the other anon already mentioned. You're only going to destroy your board even more if you and your mods keep trying to keep up with the lies and falsehoods of this being a hideout free of cancer for /a/ oldfags. Stop pretending what you are not. Accept your own nature.

8chan /a/ is hot pocket central.

worse than 4chan.

I am an oldfag and old /a/ was never like this.

In fact the oldfags left ADTRW to get away from this type of bullshit.

That's what I mean, nigger.

8/a/ mods try too hard to be like "old /a/" yet fail miserably at it it, because the initiative needs to come from the userbase, not the mods.

I don't consider myself an "/a/ oldfag", but I've been a regular 4/a/ user since 2009 (cuckchan user since 2007 though, I started with the babby boards like /b/ and /v/ like everyone else) and it was indeed never like this in terms of how it's moderated. They were very good at self-moderation though. This seems to be a foreign concept here, since 8/a/'s userbase is mostly newfags from /v/ and alike.

To me I think they just delete obvious shit. I paid less attention to the current administration than the last one, but the moderation seems identical to me compared to 4chan rather than "too tryhard" or "/v/ish".

I am in favor of the idea of loosening moderation, but I would prefer to keep moderation the same and plug /am/ more often. I think a symbiotic reltionship between /a/ and 2d/random would give the weeb community here a neat distinction not seen anywhere else. Both boards would benefit from the activity.

Actually sounds like a decent idea. Would need more anons to be able to pull it off though.
