Let me be clear, I sporadically check out /a/ and I liked to board months ago, but it seems like there are more, to put it bluntly, dicks hanging out on the board. I'm genuinely curious as to why some of you guys make it a point to either not respond to newcomer questions or to make a post reprimanding someone for doing so. Is it the notion that answering questions here and there, as simple as they are, open a perceived flood gate of genuine fags that can't be assed to google it themselves?
Is there really a point in making a post whose only purpose is a reprimand?
Best example in my recent memory was the Boku no Hero Academia thread that saw posts and post removals over people just naming the manga in response to what manga the thread was about.
