Mods shouldn't be banning because people don't agree with their opinions. They should just be banning the people who are detrimental to the community.
Only people that are shitposting to invoke flamewars and creating obvious bait threads to disrupt the community should be banned. No one else should be punished merely for their opinions.
This is how a GOOD imageboard functions.
A bad imageboard gets its users banned for no fucking reason other than the admin didn't like them.
This is how reddit/4chan operates.
Obviously people who are new need to lurk moar, and posting /rec/ threads when there's clearly a fucking sticky about it should carry a harsh punishment, but new users shouldn't just be outright perma-banned, if any of that is occurring.
Maybe a mod will step in and clear the air about this, but for now I'll hesitate to really look into this topic too much.
Obviously we can't enforce any of these rules, and it's ultimately up to them to decide if they want to run auschwitz or a civilized regular ass board, but i'm hoping they're not as retarded as you make them out to be, OP.
