Hmm, do you think it's time for us to tighten the screws a bit? The thing is, nothing there has been reported and I tend to refrain from deleting threads that are not obviously rule breaking that I alone don't like, opting to be mostly guided by the report queue; such that it is then the case that at least one anon and at least one maid are in agreement something needs to go, it's more accurate than one person working alone (hence why I continually implore everyone to report liberally). I don't think you can do anything. All of those threads are more or less anime related. The board is just shit. A good indicator of discussion is threads with lots of post count. The board lacks such threads. Just look at the old pics fir comparison.

If one were to look at the catalog of /a/ from 10 years ago, you'd see the exact same shit. In fact there'd be more tripfags and even more "memes" in the OPs because that's what /a/ was like.

I'm not sure when it became "bad" to post in-jokes and silly threads. /a/ isn't just all about muh show discussion. It certainly never started that way.

The board owner asked us what we wanted when he created the board and we flocked there. Anons deliberated for a few days, and a consensus was reached. This agreement, heretofore knows as the /a/GREEMENT, can be paraphrased as, "We want an /a/ like the old days, so we'll have rules that enforce this desire, and will serve to keep the board that way, now and in the future."

Nobody on /a/ gives a fuck if the moderation is heavy-handed for newfags and /v/irgins. It's fucking supposed to be. If you're breaking the rules and get b&, or are offended by the heavy-handed moderation, it's because you do not belong on the /a/ which we want, the /a/ we had on 4chan before the mods fucked it up by letting any fucking retard post there. If you deem that fucked up, you're free to move to another anime-related board or create one. That's the beauty of this chan. You're not limited to one anime board as you were on 4chan, but in this /a/, you will abide by the rules or get fucked up.

It is very funny how you are so self-deluded you actually pretend to understand "the old days." And what you say is so hypocritical you probably will never acknowledge it. Right now 4/a/ and most of the site really is being heavily moderated "according to the rules," but of course you would deny that in your fantasy world, including the problems with it. You don't even know yourself what exactly you are trying to preach.

And the "lol you can create another one" is a very stupid meme that HW sort of started with him advertising it. I would have to give GG as an example. I don't know the details, but they got a few different boards, basically because the others went to absolute one way or another. This is the only real way that makes a proper new "big board." Right now /a/ might be pretty small, but even if you create another /a/ no one will want to go to it, because it will be even smaller. To make people move something more than the board being just shitty must happen. A bigger shitstorm. And even then it is very likely it will just cause a big unbalanced distribution and divide the already small userbase even further.

What makes you think you can achieve the old days with more moderation? How the fuck do you think 4chan died in the first place? I'll tell you how. Overmoderation made 4chan a safe place for the rest of the internet to post. The rest of the god awful internet (what you know as cancer) that can't handle anything that triggers them, anything that diverges from the norm; that is how 4chan died. Instead of lurking moar and learning to self-moderate by ignoring annoying tripshits, trolls and namefaggots, users immediately ran to moderators to fix things. More newfags from Reddit/Tumblr/[insert generic shithole forum] came in, but instead of learning proper chan etiquette they let mods have their way with the site until it became a wasteland.

Some of the cream of the crop bestposting boards fought back (/jp/, /sp/), the end-result being the complete destruction and splintering of their community. Other boards like /a/ just stayed isolationist, however that also resulted in a slow degeneration to the point where all that's left is a handful of general threads and "acceptable" shitposting/culture threads that were forged years ago by greater men who weren't afraid of a free environment or innovation.

8chan was supposed to be hope. It was supposed to be the solution, the messiah of imageboards. I came here for free speech, to finally escape the clutches of 4cuck moderation. Why did you come here, anons?

What I am about to say is likely very irrelevant to your post, but whatever. I started out as wanting to help keep 8chans /a/ up after reading a thread about how the board needed to be better and what not. Ended up just shit talking to other people for the hell of it and threw my own feelings into how Lolicon is being handled and blogging my overall depressive state of mind upon others. I also wanted to let people expose their own stupidity for getting mad. Even though I'm stupid too, it was to bring both some random anon and myself to hell. There's no use now in expecting to defend Lolicon and not get yourself fucked over. It was just naive. But at least I tried something. Plus, the fact that I'm less of the delusional NEET I was months prior, I know I'm not getting away with this shit if I continue. Although one family member has an idea of my "tastes", doing anything more to flaunt is social suicide. Incidentally this whole fucking thing started when a yahari mixed with a rap song that was shit garbage got posted. Someone pointed out Fucking Cancer then the faggot said something along the lines of "oh you just jelly" then I backed him up on confirming the cancer shit taste. I didn't want people tainting my favourite self-insert anime with some shit music and ruining the perception of both rap and 8baller.
