Who was Che Guevara and what did he do? He was a communist in cuba, what makes him so special?

543854 No.6556

Why are you asking anarchists about him?

He was involved in anti-capitalist revolutions in multiple places, his guerrilla tactics are something anarchists should take important note of, but he was a Marxist-Leninist, which is to say his sense of economics was nowhere as important as his military tactics. Planned monetary economies don't work, Castro himself admitted so.

because anarchists seek the truth, most of the times anyway.

a fascist pig

He's special because even when they won the revolution he kept being a rebel and fought with other revolutionaries. He's the symbol of unending revolt against the capitalist system.

basically this. He was one of the few powerful communists that you can pretty much guarantee actually believed in the revolution he was participating in. He could have just chilled in Cuba as one of the most powerful, wealthiest people in the whole country, but instead lived the rest of his life in shithole camps in jungles, fighting capitalism. I wouldn't consider the way he went about things as laudable (kangaroo courts, executions of dissidents, etc.) but at least he was authentic.
