Hey friends What are your thoughts of 'deep anarchism'?
It's the idea that the state does not actually exist. It's just a delusion some people have similar to religion. Some people who are deluded believe there is a state that has authority and they justify their violence in the name of that authority. The parallel obviously being here that deluded religious people believe in a heavenly authority and justify their actions by that.
When we take this approach at examining 'the state' I think things come into clearer focus. 'the state' does not exist, but groups of individuals who claim to act on behalf of it use it's mythical authority to use violence against others, other individuals submit to this mythical authority by following laws, paying other people 'taxes' etc. But these are nothing but criminal organizations of individuals who have rallied around a delusional cause.
The actual state, the authority, is not real. they may have buildings, costumes, paper with scribbles and what not on it. But so does the catholic church and that doesn't make God any more real.
