Personally, I think the NAP is a relativist stance and suffers from the same ideological traps that other traditionalist philosophies do: a "you're free, so long as you ascertain the absoluteness of my position" type of catch-22.
That being said, I believe in the pragmatic superiority of non-violent action, as I think that resistance can be expressed in all kinds of activity beyond the purely physically sort.
Many people simply don't care about something a hundred miles away from them. Although I think activism surrounding environmental concerns is a worthwhile pursuit, the ugliness of it all is ultimately insured by trans-national alliances. Our channels of information are constantly saturated with counter-active social messages designed to deter public activity.
