What would you say is your favorite philosopher? Why?

 No.667

Ludwig Wittgenstein

He provides a solid basis for dismissing pretty much every form of irrational nonsense and sophistry; all you have to do is pay attention to where definitions get mixed up, and sort them out.

Though Hans Herman Hoppe gains major points for demonstrating that praxeology has applications beyond economics.

 No.671

Max Stirner.

I find his thought almost relevant to every single subject. In my opinion, his skepticism and individualism is a fundamental formula to engaging analyzation and purpose.

 No.683

I gotta say, Jean Paul Sartre. I"m an existentialist. I think we imprint our meanings from our interactions with reality's meaninglessness. Existentialism is about action and addressing what's real.

You realize he was a socialist, yes?

 No.692

>>683

And he was a communist

 No.694

>>692

He was scattered with his politics. What I enjoy him most is existence before essence. Existentialism supports anarchism. Everyone is free.

 No.710

>>691

Stirner was actually against socialism. He was a proto-individualist anarchist, whose pragmatic egoism was a precursor towards a liberated public voluntarism.

Stirner was against the impulsive desires towards profit and against that which demanded subservience of the egoist. He maintained that authoritarian modular operations stiffened the potential for all relational egoists.

As a synthesist, I find him relevant, particularly because of his union of egoists, and especially because of his criticisms of spooks. I find him crucial in his critique against fixed normatives. Stirner provides a praxis that centralizes upon a global ideological shift into a freed atmosphere void of repressive organizations and productive for egoist unions.

>Lysander Spooner

yea he was a "socialist" but he destroyed the social contract and directly competed with the US postal monopoly.

….Also the beard

 No.713

>>712

>>691

"Socialism" used to refer to nothing more than the benefits of social cooperation. Didn't have to involve compulsory redistribution of wealth.

 No.751

>>710

Stirners economics are a topic of debate, and considering what morons ancraps are they lose consistently. Stirner was not a "proto individualist anarchist", he WAS an individualist anarchist.

 No.752

>>713

Socialism never meant compulsory wealth distribution, it meant and still means worker control and/or ownership of the means of production.

You're a long way from home, guy. Nobody's gonna take you seriously around here.

You've wasted your time posting in all these threads.

This isn't really a debate board; too slow for that. People check in here every week or two.

 No.769

>>752

you mistook socialism for communism, as to op's question i like max stirner most

 No.785

>>751

>stirner's economies are a matter of debate

Yes

>not a proto-individual anarchist

>was an individual anarchist

They're somewhat one and the same thing, only that "proto-" indicates an originality and predecessor, as opposed to popular and present formations which built upon a given tradition.

 No.787

>>769

an-syn Catalonia had compulsory wealth distribution.
