I posted the learning animation thing to catch the attention of newcomers and to help beginners learn the basics (even though I've been posting very slowly).
I think /ani/ is more of a niche board where artists can discuss their works and inspirations. Whenever I browsed animation threads that tend die really quickly are just the same posts over and over again.
If you want to post on other boards about animation I suppose it seems fine as long as it doesn't go off-topic. Probably something along the lines of:
