Funny, because Wakfu has no weight in it's animation. The characters move like they're fucking tweened and floating around on air without any easing-in and easing-out.

You can animate traditionally in Flash, just too flash animators rely on tweens so it looks fake and is considered the norm

The animation did get a ton better as they went on. I believe Episode 5, the Seven Samurai parody episode, was the first done and it has the worst animation of any episode in the series.

Also the last episodes of each season got higher budgets and I personally think they look amazing for it.

The 7D is impressive seeing that it does a good job hiding some of its tweening and making it look like a traditional animated television show with an above average budget.
