Anybody else like limited animation unironically?
Because I always see people talking about muh framerates and muh fluidity but mostly people dislikes limited animation because of the desings.
I love it and i even have a collection of UPA films on my hard drive.

Limited animation is great, but in modern animations they seem to stray away from this which makes me sad that I won't see things pop out like they used to.

I like it because it enables animators to focus on other aspects like effects and composition.

It can even have a comedic effect when animators acknowledge it.
See the greatest anime of all times, Inferno Cop.

>>217Just watched Inferno Cop, it's like the Japanese version of Adult Swim and it's fucking hilarious. Thanks for the recommendation.

I think if you use it right it can be great.
Anime is a great example of what you can do with little actual animation. Sometimes I will just sit and rewatch a show and just look for scenes with just the mouth animated or over used panning shots.

Yeah, I feel like shows like South Park and other Adult Swim programs are pretty fun to try out as a way to create a style. However, I do fear that limited animation as a whole is reserved for comedy, which I guess makes sense. The designs for me in the regard of limited animation isn't so bad, depending on what the fuck it is. If your talking about 12 oz Mouse, then hell fucking yes it sucks; vice versa, if you're talking about something like Panty and Stocking (which consists of uneven mouth movements and flash animated portions), thats ok I suppose.
