This board needs more life and this post has been out for about a week now.

It's quite a good read and delves into the differences between traditional and webgen animation, both visually and mechanically.

With that in mind, who are your favorite webgen animators? What implications does webgen spell for the future of animation and its workflow? Which are the best sequences available? What are limitations that need to be surpassed, or curbed? Will webgen make animation more viable as a career in the future, or will it be stuck as a niche trend?

>>442 is already an example who's rather popular in the anime community, and Ryo-Chimo and other animators mentioned in the article have been noticed in some works over the past few years. There are also other examples around the world and online, like Studio Yotta, a Western digital collective that encapsulates much of what webgen animation represents.

I really dig Shingo Yashimata. He's really good at timing space and perspective.

Would it be acceptable if I copied from him?

Well yeah, seeing as pretty much all webgen animators self-taught themselves by deriving from other animators' styles.

It'll be best to learn from multiple people, though, and create your own style.

He has a few timing sheets as well.
